Not sure what could be draining your battery so fast. Mine has had ok battery life so far, goes down about a bar after 1 days use. Would having bluetooth on effect the battery?

I just got a new V635 and my battery was run down when I got up this morning so I put in a new battery and changed network setting to fast and it was dead in 30 mins. Is there something else that is causing my phone to lose juice this fast ?
Now its on slow on a brandnew battery that I put on at 1030 I have made no calls and its got 1 bar left![]()

It's on slow now and this battery is about to gomust be something else
is your bluetooth on? because that'll drain the battery faster too, since its using 2 signas (bt and regular phone one)
Maybe you have a defective battery.
These batterys work great in my other phones
Bluetooth is off . I guess I will have to tackle this problem later cause i'm out of batterys.
I have noticed that with the phones depending on what flash flex version you have some phone tranmit the blue tooth until you switch it off.
I had an chinese V3 at first and if I did turned on the blue tooth the phone would be dead by 2 pm.
Then I got a US cingular flexed version on exchange and I noticed that this flex version only powers up the blue tooth for two minutes if notice connects with it in that time it will shut off the signal to preserve battery life.
Make sure the blue tooth is turned off and the network connection is on slow. If you are in a steel building that will drain the battery faster as the phone will work harder to transmit to the network.
If you have tried all of that do a master reset and watch the phone for a few days and if that does not work you will have to either exchange it or send in the phone repair which more than likely if it is new they will swap it for a refurb.
How bout them RIM devices?????
I figured it out. The flash memory card was in the wrong way so it was causing the battery to drain in 30 mins

You mean the trans flash card is not "keyed" so you can't stick it in wrong?
Most memory cards are keyed and only go in one way.
Maybe you should contact Motorola.. and have them add that little "fact" to the user manual... That the memory card can be inserted the wrong way, and it will drain the battery in 30 minutes
(I bet that was "good" for the circuitry in the phone, LOL!!!... Can you say “Toasty”?...)
