Bluetooth Transfers VIA MPT 3.23 works

I must say...first post, first and for most. Here goes. I finally updated to the 1.40.OR and then used the SDGOOD SEEM. After finally getting my MobilePhone Tools updated to 3.23 (it took forever) All my bluetooth functions are working on the PC. I can transfer pics, video, ringtones and whatever to and from the phone through media studio. Mobile Phone explorer works too. I can rip and edit cd's directly from the cd and then up the results to the phone and all. I am not jiving here so if you have no tried it...give it a whirl...maybe this is already known but if not...give it a shot and good luck.

My MPT has worked like this since 3.07 and the SD flash. I am using 3.19 now, and I used 3.23 at home. They all work the same as the original post describes.

For the people using mpt and the media tools. What did you tell mpt the phone was? A v710 or a V710m?
    Thanks for the input.

I cant find the multimedia functions in mpt with my V710. I suspect this is because mpt detects my phone as a v710 and it probably needs to be set as a v710m. How can I force mpt to detect it as a v710m?
I have the 0R flash with seem 41a edits to allow BT and trans flash transfer with multimedia.

yes you need to set it to 710m and here is how

start mpt and let it run if it doesn't find your phone no problem

click menu / setup / general setup /

    click the communication tab
click the change modem button click next 1 or 2 times untill you see a detect driver screen
choose do not automatically detect driver and then go on to choose the v710m

This truly is great. I had a lot of trouble getting the drivers straight and getting the USB connection to work to do the flash and seem edit. Once that was done, I upgraded MPT and whenever I did, it would fail and I'd have to reinstall. This time I stopped upgrading at 3.19 and voila! Not only can you transfer the phonebook and ring tones, but MPT even helps you create wallpaper (in the right size) and ringtones from MP3s. And it all happens over bluetooth with no more USB cables hanging around.
At least for all my purposes, I declare this V710 "uncrippled!"

Now, if only all this would work with the Mac. (At least OnSync lets me do the phonebook over bluetooth.)
It's never exactly what I want.

    Ranger,
Are you saying 3.23 wouldn't allow you to to those and 3.19 did?

I've been looking, but can not find it. Is there a simple way to do this seem 41 edit?
