So do you really think the Xperia will be seven hundred bucks? if so then Tilt here I come LOL.
Tilt was 800 when it first came out without contract. I suspect contractless price at around 599 or 699 would be doing rather good considering all the Xperia does. It also is 800x480 screen, which is slightly better than DVD res and it has a new battery that allows for aggressive use of the phone for a solid day. The Tilt has a talk time of 4.4 hours and 320x240 comparatively. The company that made the Tilt (HTC) is who assembles the Xperia for SE.

By the time you buy, you might see the Tilt get replaced by something else better. It's already almost a year old.

BTW in case you missed my edit, the Xperia is MicroSD only, but the G700 and G900 are still M2 only. I'm not sure why this is the case, but it might just be that SE didn't want to have to make a driver for M2 on Windows Mobile. The Xperia is the first WM based phone from SE.

When I was about 11 or so, my folks got an '81 Dodge Omni. That thing somehow slipped out of the factory with an experimental carb. It was rated for like 40 mpg in town and 45 or so on the highway (1.6L/4-speed manual). We would regularly get around 70 in town, and on the highway, we'd get upwards of 110 mpg. No kidding, at the time we were living in Huntsville, AL, and we could make it from there to Granby, MO (outside of Joplin) on a single tank of gas with plenty left over. That's a 600+ mile trip each way.

We know that wasn't anywhere in the realm of normal for that car. A couple years later we had to trade it in on a bigger car, because at 13, the back seat was WAY too cramped. We talked to the guy that bought it used from that dealer, and he was getting mileage closer to the EPA ratings.

    The Dodge Omni: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Omni

Edit: Found this page that indicates the Dodge Omni with 1.6L Peugeot engine and 4-speed manual transmission was rated at 34 mpg city/51 mpg highway. As I noted above, we easily eclipsed those numbers.

My dad has a 1993 Escort that is still going strong without any major problems (knock on wood). It's only got around 50k on it. Yet I still don't like Ford... go figure.

I've heard stories like this before about various manufacturers. It's interesting knowing they can build carbs like that but they don't ever make it to true production... don't quite understand that. Did this one have "experimental" stamped on it?

I don't believe so, but that was 26 years ago, so I don't really remember.

The photo wasn't visible when I replied heh.. Makes sense now.

I like Men at Work ok, but I think Colin Hay's acoustic version of Overkill is better than the original Men at Work track. Down Under is a good track too.

Unrelated but - As far as cover tracks from an earlier era go, Killswitch Engage redid Dio's Holy Diver.. Makes the Dio version sound like crap.

I haven't heard that version of it, I think I'll stick with the Men at Work original though Oh, Men at Work are on tour, as are Flock of Seagulls, go 80's NewWave!

So now on it's Rosanna by Toto, luv this song!

    Rosannnnna Rosannnnna

Edit-I've never heard of Killswitch, Dio I know though.

Colin Hay is the lead singer of Men at Work. The acoustic ver was used in the TV show Scrubs, but it's slower paced and just has a more meaningful feel to it. If you happen to find it around, you should check it out just so you can say you heard it..

Edit-I've never heard of Killswitch, Dio I know though.
Killswitch Engage is a modern hardcore metal band from Mass. www.myspace.com/killswitchengage has the cover of Holy Diver on their music list. Might not be your thing, but I thought it was better than the original. I thought the Dio version was boring by comparison.

Janet Jackson is one of my favorite 80's artist her past two albums have been horrible but her new album Discipline is quite amazing. I think that her superbowl incident has kinda killer tp her career though. The lead single "Feedback" is really good to dance to.

But i know you guys are not the dancing type LOL.
