A contract plan where you pay for the minutes you used when you get your bill at the end of the month.

I think I can amplify on that a little. Post-paid means,

    a) You are old enough to enter into a contract
    b) You have good credit or a big cash deposit
    c) You agree to pay every month for 1 to 2 years
    d) If you fail to pay, your credit will be trashed
    e) You get a "free" or heavily discounted phone
    f) You may get gimmics like free mobile-to-mobile, free nights/weekends, free calls to customers on same carrier
    g) You get a bill for the agreed monthly amount
    h) On the bill will also be taxes, surcharges, and "regulatory" fees
    i) The added fees could easily amount to a 20% addition to what you agreed to
    j) Other charges will appear on your bill too, like roaming, messaging, wifi, etc.
    k) If you decide you don't like it before contract is complete, you get hit with a big fee for firing the supplier.

Have I missed anything boys? Looking at this should make it obvious why prepay is not just for kids anymore.
