How much would you pay for someone to pressure wash your driveway?

My brother is trying to make some extra cash. He plans on renting a pressure washer and going door to door. He was originally gonna charge $25 but someone recommended to him he should charge around $40. He asked me and I'm like hell I dunno. Also, would you have it done after a rainy weekend?

Hmmm...you can't charge *too* much. It's easy to go to the local Home Depot and buy a pressure cleaner.

I have one that I didn't pay too much for and it works just fine. I wouldn't pay more than $40 for someone to pressure clean my driveway to be honest -- especially if I could do it myself.

$40 seems ok. maybe charge for $40 and then if they want to haggle, then you can still go lower.

Depends on the length of the driveway. We pay around $50 (US) but we have a long and wide driveway.

Depends on the size of the driveway.

Probably he can get more money if he uses the pressure washer to wash the windows, walls, etc of the house, along with the driveway, or even wash their car.
Anything below this statement isn't part of the post I just made.

Agreed. In terms of a driveway, he'd probably be better off setting a rate per square foot. Keep in mind you want to cover fuel for the pressure washer, maintenance on it, and recouping the investment. Offering more services such as washing houses would add to the customer base. If he's got a truck to haul around the pressure washer, he has to have room for a ladder.

Why would I want to pay someone else to have fun with a pressure washer?
