VX8000 at Disney World, Part 2

I will be back at Disney World for the next week (May 22-28).
It looks like we will have some better weather this time around.
When I was up in March, it rained the first few days.
Again, I will have my VX8000 and Canon A95 with me.
This time around, I will try and get some better pics with the VX8000.
I now have V05 s/w on th phone, and some people have said the pics look even better with V05.
I am interested to see how it will do taking pics of the different night fireworks shows.
Since I no longer subscribe to the VCast service, I don't have Mobile Web, so I will not be able to post while I am there.
Once I get back home, I will post all the pics.

Being in FL, like to go 2-3 times a year. Sometimes it's only every few years. It's only 3hrs north of me, so If I got the time; I'm off.

I will have to E-Mail the pics from my phone to PC when I get back since I still haven't got around to buying the data cable. Was busy puting a new PC together.

Cool, I will be down there starting the 9th of June. I have the E815 so if I can I will try and take some comparison shots based on the photos you take so we can compare the 8000 camera to the E815. I know the 8000 is still better but it is not by much any more. The E815 camera is way better than the V710. Now I just hope they turn on the Get It Now for the E815 in time for my trip to florida. I want to see how the V-cast works on it but right now VZW does not have it active for the E815. VZW w/no v-cast me

There was no rain this time around, but was very cloudy!
I think that is why the lighting is bad in a few of them (Haunted Mansion).
I tried using the Macro Mode on the Sunflower, and it looked in-focus on the screen, but I gesss it wasn't.

By the way...if anyone makes it over to EPCOT, try the new Soarin' over California simulator.
It's not a "thrill" ride, but still worth going on.

Nice pics! I thought the VX8000 pics looked until I saw the A95's pics.

I'm having a problem w/ my VX8000 where a lot of pics taken w/ "sun intereference" appear very "whited out". I know it's probably an ISO setting thing. I have mine set to the default ISO_AUTO. I'll have to read up on the ISO stuff.

Indoor pics w/ the VX8000 are virtually useless, as is phone's flash.

The Haunted Mansion pic isn't that great because of the direction of the sun and all the clouds.
That's why it got washed-out looking.
ISO settings makes the sensor more sensitive to light.
The higher the ISO, the more light sensitive it is, but also the grainier the image becomes.
When I took these pics outside durring the day, the lowest ISO is best (ISO 100 on the VX8000, ISO 50 on Canon A95).
For night pics, you need to have the ISO higher on the VX8000.
For that Canon A95, I can have it at ISO 200, but keep the shutter speed open longer. You can't do that on the VX8000.

That's what I thought - thanks for confirming. I thought the LG phone would be intelligent enough to adjust the ISO setting to lower it for outdoor/bright pictures and to increase it for indoor/dark pictures, but I guess I assumed poorly.

At least the good thing is that whatever ISO setting you set it at, it stays like that forever until you change it again. Or maybe it gets reset to the default (auto) when power cycling the phone. There are some camera settings that need to be reselected with every pic.

Some of the AUTO settings I never trust.
I like to set it the ISO so I know what it is set to.
Leaving to AUTO, you have no way of knowing what it chooses.
I do leave the White Balance set to Auto most of the time.
All-in-all, the vx8000 does a good job of pics since it's primary function is that of a phone.
It wil not take as good pics of a dedicated digital cam, and will not store as many.
For taking "quick" pics when you don't have a real camera with you, it's worth it.
