What should I wear to a job orientation?

As you may or may not know, I have a job orientation this wednesday evening, at a cellular store, that is asking for a Nextel/Hawaiian Telcom rep.

I'm used to wearing a collared shirt and slacks for school, but on Wednesday, we'll be wearing a tie.

What should I wear to this orientation? Maybe a collared shirt w/ jeans, or slacks, or even a button down aloha shirt? What about a tie?
Anything below this statement isn't part of the post I just made.
    Past Phones: Nokia 3390, 6010, 6133, 5310, X2-02
    Motorola v635, SLVR, v300
    ATT Fuze, HTC Evo 3D
    Samsung Galaxy 4G

I would just wear whatever you were going to wear to work on the first day. Even though it might not be necessary at an orientation, it does leave a good impression and makes you look like you're serious about being here. If your boss/supervisor etc. feels that it's not necessary, he'll tell you what to wear next time, but it most likely wouldn't work against you.

I'd go with a collared shirt, clean jeans or khakis. no tie.

go to the store and see what the employees wear

then dress down a bit from what they're wearing

I would dress in a shirt and tie, given that that's what you wear normally to work.

If it seems too inappropriate you can just take off the tie.

I recommend a dard blue long sleeved shirt with a red tie. White dress pants, a brown leather belt, with black dress shoes. What I wore to my job interview, I got the job over someone else.

If Elliott Smith had tried to fake it through the day with Johnnie Walker Black instead of Red, maybe he'd still be alive today.

I don't know about Hawaii dress code, but generally wear something formal, but also casual, like khaki's with a Dockers shirt. And keep the tie in the car in case you need it

Bascially, this is what I have:

That's my "most used clothes". I think I have more in my closet, but I have to look.

I have black slacks and blue jeans to go with them, along with khaki pants
