ETEN m500 - How to view Videos?

    Hi,

I took some videos this weekend with my ETEN m500. I have used ActiveSync to get them onto my Win XP machine - but I have no idea how to actually view them now??

I took some in .bt1 format and some in .3gp format. The Win XP machine recognises the .3gp format calling it "3GPP Movie Importer" type but then I try and run it it called QuickTime which has the sound but no video. And when I try and open them in Windows Media Player that is no good either.

What do I do to see my videos on PC??

    Thanks
    Blakey

Real Player is the only one I've found that works. And, it only works with the .3gp.

It seems to want some sort of codec to be installed. Any ideas where I'd get this from?

As ever, thanks for all your help

I think, when I tried to play on realplayer, I didn't download any new codec, it just gave me a message to update to the newest realplayer...then it worked

I got this tip from one of the other m500 users and it is in the big m500 thread somewhere??

    *.3gp Video Playback

I receive *.3gp videos from my friends in Europe, Turkey to be exact, and they always open and play with sound in QuickTime.

Maybe try the latest QuickTime, and like Mike says, you can always try RealPlayer.

I uploaded RealOne Player and once that had gone off and updated its codecs it was able to play the .3gp videos happily. Nothing I've found will play the .bt1 format videos though sadly.
