forwarding is quicker, as pop3 is only polled every 5 minutes, but as you pointed out some forwarding systems aren't that great

Thanks for the instructions. I setup in exactly the order you specified. I am having a weird problem on my p910a. I go through the Provision setting and the desktop configurator finds the p910a fine and even gave it a pin number. It then asks to bulk load my calendar which I say fine to, also tried it without it. Then I can't get to register. It says Status - Not Conected. I then proceed to turn off and back on to try to get it to the APN and it says Starting Service, then connects to APN for like a second and then disconnects and says not connected.

I know some people are having problems with R5a, but my phone software says R4E001 and Application says R5B01. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

Also, I tried to register it under webclient and no go. Didn't like the Pin and IEMI combination. Is there a trick to entering it? Any help would be appreciate!!!

A couple of things to add that I just thought of, I am using tmobile and I just popped the sim out of my 7100t, so I know blackberry service is enabled. Thanks!!!

Spoke to TMOBILE and they called RIM who said no go, they can't add this PIN / IMEI combo, even mad the lady call back twice. She was a great help, but could not get RIM to budge. Recommened I call Sony Ericson, which I did and they said nothing they can do to help, please call your provider. Any ideas? I would love to get this thing going. If not, I will have a P910a for sale for cheap real soon

The PIN/IMEI combo are nomally only added after your phone makes first contact with the Blackberry server

Thanks, any idea what I am doing wrong? I checked all the settings. My PIN did hit my BES server through the desktop server. I was able to check that on the BES server. All I get is a quick connect to the APN, I try to send the registration message and it says it sent, but nothing happens. I have master reset and reloaded 5 times.

@ BigFeat, Great post. been waiting for this one for a bit.

i'm almost ready to add that BB data feature and get going with webclite / BIS

one thing though. i was reading the part in your walk through that says to pause the BB service to use other GPRS services.

does that mean that on top of paying for the BB data service, i would have to add another data service (wap, or internet) to my account? or will i still be able to use opera and other internet app through the blackberry.net APN.

i am using p910i on Rogers ATT in canada

    thanx, any help is appreciated

    Hey,
As far as I know you can do 1mb for $40 or unlimited for $60 from rogers which is only blackberry data. If you want to surf etc. that is extra which is not included in the BB plans. I believe you need a data plan (ie datalite @$25/month) which is seperate.

FYI, after reading the pdf that came with the software, it clearly says "Any All Point Bulletins and Pin to Pin messages received by your phone are automatically sent to the System Inbox account. You can read these messages in the same manner as messages in your BlackBerry Connect account but you can not reply to them."

    That blows!

    Hey,
Any idea if this software will work on the new SE990? It is using the new symbian OS 9.1- any thoughts?

    Hi there peeps.

I work for a mobile phone company in central London, and have found this forum to be a wealth of information... so thanks.

    My question is this:
Where can I obtain a copy of the SE BB Connect software shown in the original posting? I have searched the net and just keep hitting dead ends.

    All suggestions appreciated.

    SNAP.

FYI: The link for the bb connect software is available m8. There's a link that references a BB site that has the direct link. So search for 2.54 + blackberry and posts with the link should show up.

I would like everyone to know that I have my p910a working on the Cingular network. I have both the BB Enterprise Server pushing emails as well as 2 POP3 clients coming in via the BB Web Client. Still having a few issues with Contacts and Calendar on the Server coming down.
