You can get in Sweden where I live for as cheap as £19 (265 swedish crowns) just a walk around the corner..and pick it up.
Hi there,
just digging up this thread
I ordered a 3.5 adapter from ebay and it arrived today, only to find that it's not fully functioning. When I play music, the vocals are really low, but the main music is there.
Is there a problem with the wiring?
Any suggestions to what I should do?
If you can be sure that the connections at both ends (phone and earphone)are securely plugged in.. then, felix, i'm afraid you have a faulty adapter.Originally Posted by mak_felix

u can use any set of headphones right? the original instructions say somtin about the guy using headphones with remote control capabilities.....and everyone seems to be using somtin like MDR-EX71 or similar. I just want to use my sony twin turbo ones (pretty standard headphones)
I currently have the s710a and have a 2.5 jack converter for it, im thinking of cutting the cable and ordering a 3.5 jack to hook to the cable would it be possible? also if your in US do they sell 3.5 jack converter at radioshack or any other stores? in houston area perhaps. Lmk guys thanks
did anyone have trouble getting the solder to go on?
thanks for the guide! I made one myself too.

try tinning the wires first, get a whole lot of solder and stick the wire in, soon the raisin on the wires will melt away and the wires would be tinned. easier to solder thereafter.Originally Posted by Agent.Orange
hope it isn't too late.. mine has also got 5 wires for the 3.5mm female audio jack.Originally Posted by darrentemp1
i used 3 wires, red, copper and blue/copper. Since seems like your blue/copper is missing, left channel might be green/copper

I left out the (+)mic wire. I didn't use it. Do I need this to produce true stereo?
I just want music from my phone so I don't need a mic.
