    Hi there,

    just digging up this thread

I ordered a 3.5 adapter from ebay and it arrived today, only to find that it's not fully functioning. When I play music, the vocals are really low, but the main music is there.

Is there a problem with the wiring?

Any suggestions to what I should do?

If you can be sure that the connections at both ends (phone and earphone)are securely plugged in.. then, felix, i'm afraid you have a faulty adapter.

any exchange/return policy for your purchase?

try tinning the wires first, get a whole lot of solder and stick the wire in, soon the raisin on the wires will melt away and the wires would be tinned. easier to solder thereafter.

After one weeks use the fastport plug kept jumping out! (cheap and not good)
So I have tried modding the 3.5mm jack to the original K750i handfree and I have hit upon an issue. I cut the wires of the "ebay" hands free from the jack only and found that they are 5 wires from the 3.5mm jack end. How do I connect this to the SE handsfree circuit board?
hope it isn't too late.. mine has also got 5 wires for the 3.5mm female audio jack.

i used 3 wires, red, copper and blue/copper. Since seems like your blue/copper is missing, left channel might be green/copper

    Hi,

i can't seem to see the pictures with the shorter modification of the audio adapter. Do you have a link to the pics?

    Thanks

BUT - there was no circuit board anyway, I'll probably test this with the handsfree that I got with the phone later this week.

If you're going to try it, you could just open up the casing which contains the circuit board, de-solder the wires then plug the connecter into the phone. I did this first of all to test it still recognised it as a handsfree, then I temporarily soldered up the headphone socket to test, then sniped the cable really short and soldered it up properly.

    Guys help me.
Why do I get mixed mono? (both earphones produce both left and right sounds)
    Please help me..
I left out the (+)mic wire. I didn't use it. Do I need this to produce true stereo?

I just want music from my phone so I don't need a mic.
