Has anyone ever crashed their phone with a Java app?

Just wanted to throw this out there--yesterday I finally received my Bluetooth dongle and went nuts copying all kinds of Java games and apps to my 551. Most worked flawlessly, but some were a bit dodgy/slow/unresponse, and some were totally in Russian and various other languages.

I didn't have any problems, but it made me think about where these Java apps were coming from, and the potential to lock up or crash my phone. Has anyone experienced any detrimental effects from bad java apps, or should I not be worried?

    Thanks!

Not one shred of evidence exists in favor of the idea that life is serious.

I think you are reading between the lines a bit too much. It's obvious that both the sources and quality of these Java apps can vary widely, which is what brought up my original point. Belive it or not, I do posses some knowledge and logic. Thanks for your reply though.

Yeah man I loaded java's to my i860 and it overloaded my phone. Everything in my java apps folder had to be deleted and from that point on I could not download abything onto my phone. I ended up having to get a new phone.
