So I take it that Sprint and Verizon should have MCC-MNCs as well? They offer SIM cards you can use for international roaming on GSM networks.
VZW "borrows" from Vodafone UK for their GSM roaming. The old SIM roaming service actually was provisioned on Voda UK and required customers to manually forward their VZW line to a UK mobile number before leaving CDMA/AMPS coverage; AIUI, the new A790 roaming is more automated but still borrows from Voda UK.
I have no earthly idea what SPCS does. I do expect that they'll start to take advantage of the yellow network roaming agreements sooner or later...
By the way, I didn't know 311 was also MCC for the US.
310 filled up, even despite T-Mobile's MNC consolidation and carriers who got MNCs getting bought out without building any GSM coverage first (HickoryTech) or going out of business (Wireless 2000/Northstar, Airlink, etc.)
316 is too, but only for iDEN carriers' MNCs.

How about SE Georgia? I was down there not too terribly long ago (2-3 weeks) and I still used 310-150.

Roamer1 corrected this in his reply to my initial post:
311-190 USAC1ECI <-- Cellular Properties Inc. (aka CellOne East Central IL)
USAC1ECI was in my plmn file on my moto phone, which is where I got the wierd alpha tag. It makes since if you look at it now, knowing the company and area. USAC1ECI = USA Cell 1 East Central Illinois

Simply, the numbers are just network ID codes and we're trying to associate the codes with the carrier providing service. 310-260 is the T-Mobile network ID code. "310" is the MCC or mobile country code for the USA and "260" is the MNC or mobile network code for T-Mobile. Some carriers have more than one because of buying out various networks... a prime example is Cingular with both 310-410 and 310-380 (the old AWS network that they just bought).
Hello everyone. I have been reading hofo for almost 2 years, but never registered due to lack of comment. Better to let people think your stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
I may be able to provide extra US/North America listings, comparing to those listed at the beginning of this thread. My list for the US/North America is much bigger on my V3 than my V400, also the V400 shows the obsolete carrier numbers . I haven't found a way to extract the information, as I am not big on editing bin files. I could take a few SS of the OPT program list from the bin file, or I could zip it, but I have no file host, so it would have to be emailed.

You know, I was in Arthur, IL yesterday and had this same USAC1ECI. When I called *611, I got "Cellular one of Central Illinois". I don't know what the MCC-MNC was (probably 311-190 like you said), but I'm curious which carrier that was.
