Here are a few pretty simple questions.

I want to get the e815, I do not have BT on my pc now. All I want to do with the phone is be able to transfer pics I take to the PC and place wallpaper and ringtones on the phone.

If I get the USB cable and MPT, do I still need to do a seem edit?

www.v710.org/mark and click "Stock Phone" along the left menu to find out what the stock phone can do and if you'll need to seem edit.

When I downloaded PST and unzipped it, the patch was with it... Try looking for another download. This stuff in not easy when you are first starting out.

Tons of dead links.

Can anyone share jsut the patch file? I have the main PST pgm.

Alright, i got my flash card in and it plays the files on it.
I can also move pics, to/from it ... but not audio, i cant move any mp3 to the phone.
i have the transflash stuff enable in the seem, any suggestions? .. or a solution?

Highlight the MP3 and from the menu, choose Copy.

Changed storrage device to phone
Beatles:Hard Days Night (Played it, & Assigned as a LONG ringtone)

...Its been a hard..days...night...
Moved it back to T-Flash.

Tried again with copy. Same results.

Not sure why the option isnt there if its there for pix.

i am not sure if i did this right or not.....
i did everything sucessfully.. i think
but when i start up mpt
n it connects as the E815m
is MPT supposed to show the VErizon (US) on it/
n i can't seem to do didly squat on the phone
i can't even transfer in songs.
the only thing that i know works is the picture transfers
the dun is enabled
and the copy/move transflash option is there
but i can't put in ne songs
does it have to be in midi or can i put as mp3
n right before the song transfer finishes
an error pops up saying the phone disconnected...
well yeh....
ne help?

You need to seem edit your phone.

On a STOCK Verizon V710/E815 the option to copy/move pictures between the phone's memory and TF card is enabled out of the box.

HOWEVER the option to copy/move SOUNDS (mp3/midi) between the phone's memory and TF card is DISABLED. You must do the "TF Copy/Move" seem edit to re-enable this... Offset 0075, Bit 5 set this value to 1 (enabled). For the E815, its Seem 2742, Bytes 7A, Record 1.

Note: this seem edit has NOTHING to do with the copy/move option for pictures. It effect sound files only.

If you've loaded a pre-edited seem, or did this edit, (or don't have verizon) that would explain why you have the option.

Often times the password is contained in the description of the file on the site where you got it.

I am assuming that you are downloading your legitimate update from Motorola's site...
