Just wanted to thank SClark for all the work. With a little patience and a lot of reading, I'm now hacked.

One note and I don't know if it's just me - but when I installed PST it went through it's gyrations about how I can't install on XP SP2, then setup just froze. I killed it and rebooted and it seems fine. The SEEM editor connected just fine after that so I don't know what happened. Oh well - it works now.

    SCclark!!

I think we can thank MicroSlow for having to restart our engines so often where things can finally perform.

    e815 Download/Install Applications

Anyone know if you can download/install applications (games, ringtones, utilities, etc.) on the e815 other than the applications offered by Verizon services?

Help Please!!! My Motorola E815 is on the way!!!

    Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and looking for some help since I don't know alot about the new mobile technology!!!

I should receive my new phone today(Motorola E815-Verizon) in the mail and I am most interested in finding a way to send the pictures that I take to myself(to my email or computer). Is there a way to do this for free without getting charged 25 cents for each picture or having to pay the extra service plans? Do I need to do all of the steps indicated in this forum to achieve this result, or not or get a special data cable? Please help- I am lost!!! Thanks in advance for your help?

I am getting my E815 tomorrow. I'm very excited. (most excited gif I could find).

Anyways, this thread was my deciding factor over getting the E815 over the 8100. There were other things, but this pushed it way over the edge.

You are the man, thanks for posting.

Well I did find some interesting info in the 2742 seem; but lost it before I could post due to power outage.

There is a second GPS menu in the Engineering menu that can be enabled; I believe it was:

Offset 6f, bit 7. (This disables the basic GPS menu)
    Offset 71, bits 5,6,7
    Offset 72, bits 0,1,2

I also enabled some menus for 'Message Blocking' which didn't appear to function; and a category called 'Info Services' in the Messaging menu. I forget what the offsets for that are at the moment...

Also a warning: Be careful when editing in the 000060 offset area; I believe something in there severely broke my phone to the point I can no longer connect to it or use it.

Do the edits described for the v710 here: Reconfiguring the Motorola v710 to use a SMIL Gateway

Then setup your server as outlined here: SMIL(e) MMS Gateway

So I was curious about this....If I do a seem edit to my E815 when I get it....I probably won't be able to update my phone in the future. Is that the case?
