So I was curious about this....If I do a seem edit to my E815 when I get it....I probably won't be able to update my phone in the future. Is that the case?

And make a Flex backup of your seems and such too in case you're like me and makes a really bad seem edit that really screws up the phone.
I learned that lesson the hard way today, and I'm going to have to either take it back or hope someone else can make a flex file for me to flash with.
Something you might also want to do is document your seem changes because if, sometime in the future, upgrades are released and you simply restore an old seem you may be disabling new features in the update. At least if you document the offsets and such you won't be completely clueless if you have to edit a newer seem file.

Man, I was about to dump the 815 because of speakerphone echo, static and noise to the person I was calling. (The poor quality didn't happen often; but, I had to get off speakerphone a few times to continue the call.) I am sooo glad I didn't dump the 815! My friends and family can deal with a little echo and static.
I wasn't going to play/hack the 815; but, the postings interested me. (Major props to Sclark! Great post! I'll be ordering my cable soon! I'm hooked!)
Anyway, I was just reading the post from Dabluest and I decided to follow the link for the PST-something-or-other. Lo and behold, at the top of the page was "FREE INTERNET for the 710". I tried it and man-o-man is it sweet!
I now have access to my Yahoo, which give me access to DRIVING DIRECTIONS, which is excellent since I don't have a navigation system in either car!
I now have access to News, Sports and Weather. Also, most impressively, I have access to FANTASY FOOTBALL PLUS! (Some people don't care for FFL or football for that matter; but, for me it's the best 4 to 5 months of the year!) Soooo, I'm sold! The 815 stays and I'll be attempting to hack it pretty soon.
If only someone could hack the P4 cards for DirectTv... My HU loader and cards are gathering dust and I'd hate to pay for another year of NFL Sunday Package.
Well, looks like I'll be playing with my 815 to "discover" other goodies!

ok, i'm stumped on PST 7.1.1.rar, i've got it, now how do i install it. Windows doesn’t recognize .rar extension. How do i open and/or extract this program.
You can find WinRar which will decompress or "open" it for you, just Google for it and install, then make sure you check the box in it's file associations to open .rar files like you need it to do, then you'll be ready to install.
Hi fellow forumers, I have a quick newb question which i'm not too sure about. i've tried to order MPT 3.0 with data cable from Amazon and they're currently out of stock and i cant wait that long, so is it okay to get OEM MPT 2.0 with data cable from Ebay (i.e. does it feature the live update so i may update to 3.25b) i appreciate any responses. thanks for all the hard work and info
So from your last response to me about getting the pics from your E815 phone- Is there a way to just download your pics from the E815 via the transflash card instead of doing the V710 edits? What is the difference between the two options? Would you still get charged the 25 cents if you use the transflash card to download your pictures? My phone hasn't come yet- does it come with a transflash card included?

Can someone please show the bit definitions for bytes 6A and 75. What am I specifically enabling?

BTW - There is some dicussion with regards to SP2. I used PST_723 on SP2 without any problems.

Well...every time I go to update the phone, I should get the old seem in there, update the phone, save the new seem the updates creates, and rehack the phone?

mpt 2.0 will update fine; make sure its a legal copy, hacked software doesn't work.

Just remove the tf and plug into a sandisk reader and copy/move to/from your pc. Works for mp3s as well, except you have to do the hack to use mp3s as ringtones. They have no way to charge you for that. A 128mb tf can hold alot of pictures, etc. Should be under $20 for tf, usb sandisk reader is about $10.

i have all the drivers for my e815 installed but i cant get PST to work, i think p2K is working because i can load seem 2742 from the phone and then save it, so it can communicate, but i am not sure what will happen if i try to write a seem to the phone. When i open the PST flash and test commands it searches for wibubox, but apperantly doesnt find it because at the bottom it says invalid WIBU key and does not display my device. i also cant install the patch for pst, it says file access error when trying to install the patch. since p2k is working i wanna know if i can still write the edited seem 2742 to the phone without hosing it.. if anybody can help me get PST working i would appreciate it
