I do know the seem number to use and edit the phone, but I will need to get the V710 driver, correct?

BTW, I edit my above comments. I must be tired when I post it the first time. Again, thanks for the guide on how to install and do the seem edit, just wish you would have post it sooner, maybe I'll have more sleep this weekend.

Also, I'd like to thank daveyp225, superdavex, BF and many, many others for making this a more enjoyable phone. You guys are great.

    Wow, thank you!
question: I have PST 6.7 which I used for my old T720. Can use that or, do I have to use v7.1.1?

    AFAIK, 7.1.1 is required.

i know this might sound dumb...dont even want to ask this...but do all cpu have bt capablities? or do you have to have a cpu that has that feature on there? or could you download a program or buy the hardware to have this. i plan on buying a new laptop for college so i will look out for bt on there if you have to have a feature with it. maybe someone would go easy on me with a simple yes or no.lol.

You can buy a usb bluetooth dongle that will work fine for BT. And it of course plugs into the usb slot on your computer.

Many new pcs have bt, laptops are even more likely to have it. If not, no problem; get a usb bt adapter and you are good to go.

    this dude ownz!

Its nice to have all this in one place, now I don't have to click on a bunch of threads to get the info I need.

For those looking for a BT adapter for the PC check out the kensinton usb 2.0 adapter. I got one at best buy. It has bt 1.2 and 1.1 as well as usb 2.0 support. combined the transfers should be fast, can't wait to get home and get started on my phone.
The Motorola Star Tac series may go down in history as the greatest cell phones ever made.

You can find that same adapter cheaper at Circuit City. I picked one up the other day for $50.

    MP3 transfer via MPT

    Hello,
I have followed the instructions located at the start of this thread. I have double-checked to insure I have not made any seem editing mistakes.

Simply, I would like to be able to transfer an mp3 from my computer to the transflash card in my e815 via MPT. So far, when I do this (select the mp3 in one pane and the MMC-removable in the other) the process starts and hangs when it gets to around 40 seconds remaining. At this point I get a message telling me the phone has disconnected. I have been able to transfer photos to and from my transflash card without issue; it is simply these mp3 files (I have tried several) that just will not work.

    Any help is appreciated,
    Skyler
