    For bluetooth adapters......

look around the web, you will be surprized to find that not all of them are any good.

People are having problems with installation and some of them are limited as to the number of different items that can be attached or controlled by the adapter.

Read some of the reviews such at cnet.com, pcmag.com, etc.

I think JR's prices are too high - look at Cnet.com, pricegrabber and other price comparison sites........also look at newegg......buycom, etc.

So far I'm leaning to CNET Inc.'s CBD021 at newegg for $ 23.00 or CBD101 at buycom for $ 26.40.

    good luck

I got this from newegg.com. Came to only 6.99 after rebate which included shipping(only $1.99 at newegg).

Ambicom BT2000C-USB ($30 at CompUSA). Rather than installing the drivers from the included CD, I downloaded the latest from their web site. No problems at all; DUN and file transfer work just fine.

I have one that came with my Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard and mouse set thats been giving me problems, I'm using mpt 3.19e1. Every time I try to setup a Bletooth phone it wants to install widcomm drivers, but it still doesn't find my BT dongle. I have tried uninstalling the MS drivers and vice verse, but now luck. I love the keyboard and mouse set, and I can also dial out via BT but MPT will not work with it for some odd reason.

I use the Motorola BT Dongle amd it works flawlessly with MPT 3.25b,,,the latest version. I bought it off eBay for $40 I believe. I don't know much about BT but I suggest getting the Moto Dongle..it works and works well. If you have any questions just ask me!

Red face USB Bluetooth Adapter-My adventures W/ one

I bought the iogear mo. GBU221 usb blue tooth adapter from bestbuy.com, After following the directions by the book (something I rarely do) I've got it as far as connecting to the phone (provided there right next to each other) For about 3 sec's then it loses it. Initially about the first two days it worked great, I bluetoothed about five full songs to my vx9900,And Three pics from my computer just cut/paste to my sounds folder. Which wont let me apply as a ringtone.sux. But i can enjoy the full songs. Overall though it's been a royal pain in the ***. And there's my three cents (I can have 3 if I want to )

Yes, that's teh one I'm currently using. Everything works fine if you just follow the directions on the D-Link website concerning the known issues with XP SP2. Took maybe 5 minutes to get everything set the way it was supposed to be.
    Just like most people:
    *DUN Enabled (used via NetZero)
*OBEX File Transfers through my PC (via 'My Bluetooth Places', not MPT)
    *EvDO turned off (usually)
    *Memory/Transflash file transfer enabled
And some other stuff... like a super sweet Bert and Ernie wallpaper

Btw, compusa sells it for $39.99. http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...822&pfp=SEARCH

But if you have a compusa near you, just get the ambicomm dongle for $29.99 as it uses a newer BT radio chip inside and uses newer widcomm drivers. http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...395&pfp=SEARCH

I got that one. I don't do rebates and it was the cheapest one on Newegg... Less than $20 shipped to my door. Works great with my E815, no problems. (Just be careful when you cut the plastic open! I cut it kind of in the middle and ending up cutting right into the install CD, LOL. Had to grab the drivers from their website, but it worked fine after that.)
