I did flash it with a cingular monster pack first of all - then applied this flash. Wasn't happy with the cingular menu, so applied the moto stock flex - then reapplied this flash and its back at cingular with a crappy camera :/

I tried the flash file and it works great. The only problem I have is when I start up my phone, I get an error mesasge that says I have a Flex Error. I went to the start up greating and deleted it and saved what I had typed, but when I restart the phone, the flex error is there.

Any fixes or ways around it?

My phone displays "Flex error, subsidy lock" everytime I start up my phone. How do I rid of this? Open up P2Kman and remove the file "/a/mobile/system/secure_pds_init" then go to Settings > Personalize > Greeting and clear it out. Restart and the message will be gone.

Has anyone tried the latest firmware with a stock unlocked black V3 in the UK. I would like the extra features especially the phonebook search, but most posts here seem to relate to a Cingular phone.

If I use the stock monster pack, are there any features that will cause problems with my UK phone?

If I wanted to back this flash out could I just reflash with .C0R (which is the flash I used prior to this one)? I'm suddenly having some issues especially with battery life and reponsiveness and I want to figure out if this flash is what caused it. I like the phone book search but not enough to sacrifice battery life.

wow this is by far the best firmware upgrade ever!!!..

all the menu navigation is a much smoother now (had 9DR before) RF has also increased, (before at work place i'd have 4 bar 80% of the time, at certain place i'll gain 5 bars, now I'll have 5 bars solid 90% of the time)

memory stats:
free 5576 kb
used 3441kb
Total: 9018

(has 9 games, and about 2.5megs of videos, deleted 70% of original ring tones)

I didn't bother with the new cingular flex cuz I haven't had any reception related problems. Also in another post of mine, some one mentioned the ENS is flex enabled (remember that seem edit?) Also you'll need to have a ENS profile enabled as well and that is done at the cingular side. Supposely, if you have the ENS set on Yes (which I did long time ago) and have the ENS profile attached to your account (i'll double check wint cingular) then you are set to go. With that said, all cingular branded flex does is to enable that switch and add bunch of cingular logo and stuff.

Hope some one can comfirm on this.

I reflashed with the monster moto stock pack and then applied this flash on top again and it is working fine now Except for the occasional "system error" message which occur directly after taking a picture/video :| But after a restart of the phone the memory synch'd and haven't had that error again... so n1 motox

I just installed the reflash on my RAZR_BLK and everything seems to be alright, except, I don't appear to have the new search functions in my phonebook setup, nor do I have the Video record option either. What am I missing? I didn't do the Monster Pack, seeing as this phone is only a week old and the Flex available is the same version as the one that's installed on the phone. I'm just looking to find out how to enable both video recording and the new search feature. Thanks.

Seems the new Cingular batches don't already come with video camera enabled. So, you'll have to either:

1) Install Monster Pack, then reflash with C3R or
2) Seem edit to enable video camera

You should have multiple letter search enabled if you flashed correctly.

Go to motox.us and about half way down the home page is the link for the seem edits...do all of those + the extra ones found...

Search option: open address book...center soft key...scroll down to setup then search method ...find

Alright, but I don't have a "Search Method" option... so, what now?

Also, I've noticed that the send/receive SMS animations are gone from my phone, as well as the ability for it to display the number of unread messages on the sub-display. I just get empty boxes for both... any ideas?

--UPDATE--

Nevermind, I found my problem. I had flashed back to a slightly older version. I installed the *correct* reflash, and the address book search is now there.

Also, I just want to note that while I have the option to record video, when I actually try to record, I get an "Insufficient Memory" error pretty quickly after starting to record... I'm thinking this might be why the feature was disabled.
