The Verizon updater is now available. It will update your Treo to version 1.03. (please note this is for VERIZON ONLY)

The Treo 650 Updater includes:

* Latest version of Wireless Sync email application software
* Internal settings modification to allow correct access to Verizon Wireless roaming partner networks

Been there... done that!!! updated & fried my otherwise perfect T650. I have to wait till Friday to receive my replacement!!!

sooooo.....should I try it? Also when I try to change my conduct so that my treo will back up and "sync" with my computer in stead of "phone over writeing computer" or computer over writing phone" I dont even have the "sync" feature.

all I know is I followed the directions to a T. The updater took on the T650, according to the Phone Info. I was all the way to doing the *228, but the T650 went into the hideous Continuous Reset Loop.

I took it in to the VZW Store yesterday morning to see what they could tell me. They had me talk to the Data team (although I don't use Data). They had me perform a Hard Reset, which seemed to work. But as I was about to hang up the phone at the store, it looped again. Then the rep placed the replacement order.

I hopefully will get my FRU tomorrow if not sooner. I'm really upset that apparantly I am the only one to fry my phone!!! I even asked the person whom I was talking to if this was a known issue. I was told I was the first they heard of!!! Bummer for me... I miss my T650!!!

It does happen a lot actually. If you look on Treocentral when the sprint and unlocked GSM came out there were a bunch of people with that problem. Only reason Verizon guys don't really know about it is cause this is the first update you guys have gotten.

I'd really like to do the update ASAP to see if it will help my signal, but one thing I'd like to know first is that Shadowmite's DUN hack still works. Has anybody tried it yet?

Here is something interesting, could not get it to DL on a mac. It DL'd on a PC though.

Just did the update and my reception (according to the phone) is better. I usually have 1 bar at home and now I have 2, but best thing is it doesnt take so long to connect anymore.

I wish they enabled blue tooth DUN.... Do they have an office kit for Treo 650? I would like to get the Treo 650 but I don't have the wireless capabilities.. Or to be able to use the Treo 650 as your modem
