But I guess if you need to switch through the 2 playlists, it would be simpler to do it that way.

So if your creating a new java app, though, wouldn't that mean you'd only be able to play 25 at a time through the itunes j2me app, and then have to switch it out with the second java app, and come back to java-tunes?

Yep. Until we find a way to get 50 songs in it at once, this is the bestr we've came up with.

I spoke to some MOT reps who were on my college campus last week showing off some of the "newest phones'' in a marketing survey kinda thing. Anyways, they had a i398 there, and when I asked them about the 25 song limit, they said it's been raised to 100, so this crack might not be needed after all. Just repeating what I was told, it's possible that they were BSing me. Screen3 does look pretty good in person though.

I'm a J2SE programmer, but it's not that hard to program in J2ME. (J2SE = Java 2 Standard Edition, ME = Mobile Edition). I'm currently lacking a Java enabled phone however (I had a v710 w/ Java but no longer), nor do I know a E396.

I had thought about maybe taking along a laptop and a data cable, but I'm pretty sure they won't let me do that, hehe. BTW, the PEBL looks pretty cool, but the hinge on it doesn't swing as smoothly as I had expected it to... Hopefully they'll put a stronger spring in the final production model...

Well i do beleive in the first part of his post he was referring to stealing the flex from the fone with 100 song limit; where he goes an about taking his laptop, but the second BTW part is irrelevant to the 25 iTunes Song Limit.
So, is the song limit issue getting anywhere, Id really like to help with anything i can, because my i398 rocks and all my friends with dodgy E398s are jealous, lol, anyway i have a 256mb card and i can fit a lot more aac songs at 64kbs on there, seems like its a waste at the moment.. Please someone help all of us i398 users....
