Hey guys, does anyone know of a free alarm setting program for the mpx220? And like another free note taking program as well?
thanks guys?
ps, iv searched the forums a lot here, and i couldnt find anything about alarms.
thanks again
I just use the builtin alarm.
I've found just about everything I really need is not free (although nothing is very expensive compared to storebought software) while some cool stuff I don't is. If you run under that assumption you might get a pleasant surprise sometime, and most of the time you won't be disappointed.
i have tried a few free alarms and they just replicate the built in alarm so dont wast the space you want a great allarm then pay for it I recoomend the one below
use Autoflight from http://inputshow.googlepages.com/autoflight.htmand set it to do a restart at a set time every day mine does it at 3 am when i is took-ed up in bed nice and warm.
it also changes profiles at set times silent at night loud during the day works with calendar too

I also use Chronos and I couldn't be happier, this is by far one of the best alarm programs out there...nice interface, lots of flexibily, runs apps on scheduled basis too, pretty sweet app...

Don't feel to bad, I kept seeing everyone talking about alarm software and figured that there had to be one built in the OS somewhere. The interface is so much like my ppc but I could not find the alarm.Originally Posted by garyinthehouse
Finally had to go to the manual, which really didn't explain how to set up the alarm very clearly. After owning the SMT-5600 for a month or so, I happened upon the built in alarm one day and now it seems so simple. The really cool thing is that it nearly replaces my PPC, except for the imput. If the phone had a touch screen I'd give up the PPC in a heartbeat.
you can do a search for the alarm plugin and then u can get the alarm setting right on your homescreen.

then its a piece of cake. as long as you want just one alarm. if u want more complicated stuff, you should probably get chronos or citytime alarms.
What can you do with such sophisticated alarm programs? I can only imagine using it to wake up in the morning,.

My Alarm can run programmes at set times som I set mine to turn buletooth on and off automatically do a virus scan and update once a week and do a reboot every morning.
I just forget about the mundane things and do all the fun things with the fone now. oh and i use it to wake up in the morning lol
well u can use the hi-tech alarm program to set a seperate alarm time for each day.
like u can set up morning alarm only for mon-fri so u dont get woken up at 7 am on saturday because u forgot to turn off the **** alarm...
sometimes, you might need to set an alarm for a diff time, like if u are taking an afternoon nap. then u dont have to disturb your morning alarm, instead u can make a new one.
you can set alarms in nap more, ie, so that it rings x hrs after it is set, like for power-nap situations
city-time alarm lets u set different alarms for diff time-zones so that if u are travelling, you can just select the current time zone and u can have the correct alarms for that location
there is tons of uses.
I would like to know how you can make your bluetooth turn off and on automatically. I'd like to do that but don't know what the program code is to run that. Can you provide what the executable program is and any switches that need to be put with it to make it run? TIAOriginally Posted by conan_troutman
Bump - I'd REALLY like to find a way to turn bluetooth off and on via a scheduler....would be a great battery saver for me.
You need to use chronos, it will let you schedule apps to run and close at a set time frame.
