Opera Mini is here!! come in for the link!

hey guys! i finally found a working verison of Opera Mini. It works great with my k750i. I think it's the best mobile web browser yet. It's in Norwegian, but you can change that to English in the "verktøy" menu
under "instillinger" - change "språk" to English.

here's the link, http://blumonkey.org/download/cell/opera-mini.rar , extract teh files into ur phone memory. I put the files into "Other" folder and installed from there.

nice! works...well, it loads up at least.

Apparently can't just send the .jar file. This is what I did:

put the .jad and .jar file in the "other" folder on your memory stick.

then on your phone, go to the other folder and install from the .jad file

Then after that, hopefully it will work.

Edit: Tried it with my CSD internet connection and works fine (very nice actually). So it doesn't HAVE to be GPRS, but most of you aren't on CSD anyway.

i agree, there will be 4 files in ur OTHER folder once u extracted and transferred them. Be sure to install from one of the 2 "opera" files in ur folder. If u installed the "opera_ mini_low", it wont work. Srry, i have k750, im not sure if it works on s700i.

the How To Install for the

    S7xx

You can NOT place the JAR file inside the other folder in the memory card to install any games/applications to the phone. Only WAY to install is to be sent over via Bluetooth (do not specifiy folder, it will automatically be placed), or sent over via IR.

    K750i/W800, Z800i variants

JAR files can be placed inside the other folder on your memory card, then go to your phone menu, get to other files and access the folder and install the JAR file. It will install, but if you delete the JAR file inside your other folders, the application will no longer work. Installation can also be completed via BT or IR.

Really...I sent the .jar file over BT to my K750 and it wouldn't load. I had to install it via the .jad file. <shrug> Whatever, as long as it works. =)

I have been trying hard and am only getting error:

Do I need to change any more settings, Btw, opera mini is running fine as an app and I get a confirmation that it is trying to access the internet, which I definitely allow

i tried to send the jar file to my S700i last night (i tried it last night already, already got the program). However, once i try to run the program, it will jump back to the list of Applications, ie, it tries to load, but the program exits after 2 sec loading.
