yeah... managed to get this to work with my SE K750i. thanx guys
btw, any idea if i can surf without GPRS? example bluetooth to my PC's internet connection?
Yes that's possible, I'm doing it right now with my K750i
You need the SE J2ME SDK from the SE developers website.
It installs Device explorer, making a serial networking connection using BT or the usb cable.
On the K750i you make a new data connection, give it the same IP address and DNS as your pc has and enable internet connection sharing.
Leave all the other fields blank in the new data account and give it a name.
Then let the internet settings connect to this new data account.
When Device explorer runs fine and has a connection to your K750i you can start the Opera minibrowser from it.
This is the only way to get a working internet gateway, else it won't work.
Hope you can get it all done, I've been trying to get it work for days

it is so much work for just browsing stuff on a phone....
No I didn't, I sent them over BT and I got an application error
The same for me. It says "OPERA MINI LASTER", but nothing happens until i touch the navigation-knop. Then it says "Application Error".
A user in a german forum has the firmware version R4C003 and for him it works. I suggest: all the users which can't get opera to work on a t610 have an older version (like me).
On my T630 it even doesn't install, I think that the T610 is somehow different.
If Opera starts up you maybe can change some data account settings.
When it's still on 'wap' then Opera won't work fine as it is primarily a webbrowser

for some phones, you cannot install jad file via bt. u have to download from wap site.
go back few pages back and someone posted a detail instruction how to install on a S700 phone (or S710a). I believe the instruction would work for T610.
It really only works with a Z800i when using the DOWNLOAD alternative and as described by Deaks2 ! Thanks!
However, I think the built in browser is also capable of http browsing via Z800 or even V800. Don't know which one is faster though. But the output seems to be almost equal.
On Operas mini browser site they state that the browser looks automatically for updates....that could be hazardous for us NOT in Norway ?!?!
Anyways, great explanation and again Thanks Deaks2 for the links!

According to Dartrax's reply it sometimes runs on a T610, but then crashes for some reason with certain firmwares.
I don't urgently need to get it working on my T630 because it works fine on my K750i, but it's fun to also get it done on the T630
Downloading using wap is no option for me because I've only voice services.
just installed on my k750i (unbranded).. first time, didn't work.. i choose to install the .jar file..
uninstalled it, then tried to reinstall again this time the .jad file and voila! mini opera html browsing! sweet! (i put the files in the other folder on the ms..)
