for some phones, you cannot install jad file via bt. u have to download from wap site.
go back few pages back and someone posted a detail instruction how to install on a S700 phone (or S710a). I believe the instruction would work for T610.
There are two problems:
1. There is the big version of opera mini - i need the low version
2. I can't overwrite an application. It just says "This application already exists" and i have do delete the old first.

When it's still on 'wap' then Opera won't work fine as it is primarily a webbrowser
Yes it installs correctly and starts up. It shows "OPERA MINI LASTER" and it stops. I heard that there should come some dots next to show that's loading but: no dots... What data do you mean? What can i try?

I'm having trouble installing it on my T610 also. I can send the jar file via IR fine. when I try to send the jad file, it says "Operation failed" after it downloads. if I try to download it via WAP, it syas "Not Acceptable"
why can't I get my T610 to accept the jad?? i've tried both the real and "modified" versions...
hey does the link on the first page work for everyone? i tried using it and it didn't work? maybe if i dunno, someone can be REALLY nice to me and just email me the file, that could REALLY help. LOL
the compression server activity takes place at Opera and NOT at the Norwegian service provider. So unless Opera pull the plug themselves, or start charging, the service will remain active AND free!
Considering how mindbogglingly amazing Opera Mini is on my S710a (with that lovely high-res 240x320 display--it's Google Maps amazing) I'd love to be able to pay them for it. It's completely incomprehensible to me why Opera has chosen to sell it only to providers--we know how slowly THOSE fuggheads move.
(Now if only I could get MidpSSH to run. It complains about a "Session Error" namely "Writer: Java.lang.SecurityException". I did try to set the permissions to allow internet access, but that hasn't helped, no matter how many times I've tried to set it.)

Hello mobil1,
I can't send the .jad-file via Infrared, too. I've read that the t610 doesn't need any .jad-files so it won't accept them.
I was able to install a .jad-file via Wap on the t610, but only this one: http://atix.pp.ru/j2me/opera-mini/operalow.jad
If i upload this file on a webspace myself, it won't work any longer: Why?
Nevertheless, opera also doesn't work with a .jad-file.
Tell me which firmware version you have. You have the version r3c002 or an older one, like R1L013 or R1A081, am I right?

I have the latest firmware R6C005. When you install and run the jar file, does it just stop and quit the app after it says "OPERA MINI LASTER..."? Thats the problem I have.
Hi, my first visit to these forums, they are great, lots of usefull stuff. And a big big thanks to Deaks2 for getting Opera running on my K700i, beats browsing on my Ipaq!
