    haha, yup, way back in the day when i first tried tethering with my t68i, it took me a couple hours to figure out this is what i was doing wrong...

    For some who are having troubles: I could not get IE to load any pages until i changed the proxy address from "216.155.165.050" to "216.155.165.50". Also i was using the original "t-zones" web session to connect.

    That fixed my problem! You should edit the first post to show the correct Proxy address.

    Opera you just go into preferences/advanced tab/network/proxy servers then put the proxy address in there plus 8080 in the port box. You can also make a custom proxy button for your menu bar which will turn this setting on or off depending how you decide to connect.

    I tried it but the problem was that I couldn't sign in to my msn messenger, howard and hotmail. Any Idea??

    You will probably have problems accessing any secure pages because it uses a different port and cannot go through a proxy. I think.

    Does anyone know how to use Nokias as modems, if you're not using bluetooth? I can connect fine using the Nokia PC suite because it does some voodoo, but I can't just use the phone as a modem through Windows because the "device is already in use." It looks like the Nokia software somehow breaks its connection with the phone before it dials. Anyone know how to force it to do this, so I can dial with Windows?

    check with your MSN settings to see if you can log on through a proxy, cause i know aim has those settings

    can't go on mail through a proxy, unless someone knows another way of doing it

    don't know how to use nokia's

    the proxy you set for your IE is the same for your messenger settings
