the one rogers is getting will be black most likely. the soft keys are in fact send and end keys like the 7100. the center "soft key" is a customizable key to whatever you want.

no problem bperkins. The button below the usb port will be a programmable "hot key". Cingular (or legacy ATTWS) has been tinkering with PTT for quite some time. There was a modified V551 that supported PTT that worked fairly well. I believe the infrastructure is still there, its just up to Cingular as to when/if they want to launch it.

That is one ugly son of a pup, damn. It also looks very cheap and that it would not stand one small drop. Oh well I am glad I did not get my hopes up, I will stick with my trusty 7250, some times new and improved ain't so.

I have definitely not been disappointed with this device. The pictures just dont do it justice. Its not flimsy by any stretch of the imagination. I dropped mine today from my waist (I'm 6'3") onto a concrete slab, on the face, and it still only managed very minor road rash. This is one of the most solid feeling BBs I've held, and I've had them all. Much nicer feel than the 7100, regardless of the non candy bar shape, and a more solid feel than the 7290.

    Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 7250: BlackBerry7250/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Hot key.....I bet those Nextel users are loving this...no more having
to press the top phone button to use the radio. Wonder what VZW will
    use it for?

I hate to make judgement before actually seeing the device, but at
first look it does not look too appealing. Of course this could be do
lighting in the pictures. It could look much better in black. Cannot
    wait to see it live.

Glad to know it is durable. Flip_Side sorry to hear about your
unfortunate drop [/cringe], but sounds like it is as durable as the
current models. Have you heard a timeframe for VZW? Since I am
    certain 10/14 is for Cingular.

Thanks again for posting this information.

Havent heard much about vzw, but you know how slow they are to market with anything. They have to disable everything on it first ; )

Well in the case of that one for the first time i dont mind them disabling it altogether, it is one ugly phone as i stated before, and that even with mine being in the holster all day, the thought of even knowing i own something like that, tsk tsk tsk.

I'm thinking it looks pretty good - it's not as if the 72XX series is going to be mistaken for a Razr in the first place. The increased specs will go a long way to making it a little easier on the eyes - especially EDGE!

Yeah I know....guess I will have to sign up for Cingular to get it. Just wish Cingular had a strong signal at my house.
