wow! that item was ended early because of a mistake in the listing. hahahaha. yea right. now i think i understand the scam a little bit better. i dont believe this people are trying to screw you over for 1,000's of dollars. i think they are just after your email. so i was wondering how they end the auction without taking, or stealing your money. and they end it 5 minutes early! now it makes a tad more sense.
that was one of the two different auctions i saw. i found another that looked a tad more legit. but if you guys are searching for p990 and not finding it. its gone. try completed auctions. the other one did look a tad less shady. the other one was the one with the 1,400 plus feedback, pictures of the p990 next to the p910 and another phone, and it also said there were 30 available, but they were selling them individuallly.
first of all none of those pics on any of the ebay auctions are real proof photos of the sellers stock. they were all taken off of websites that did the reviews. and auctions ending early could be from the original ebay owner ending it cuz they found out that someone else is using their account to rip people off.
sdsviet is right, they nicked the photos from other sites. That's why I was asking for a picture of the entire lot. I omitted much of email exchange but suffice to say the person I was communicating with became agitated when pressed for a simple picture.
god this seems like such a nice phone but im not sure if i could deal with it not having EDGE... any chance that with all the delays that EDGE might be added to this phone?
Who's to say? Given that the US hasn't been a target market for the P800, P900 or P910 I'd say it's doubtful. Isn't the US the only country thus far with EDGE?
No, they have edge in europe. I dont understand why EDGE wouldn't be on this phone. Thats like not putting MP3 ringtone capability on a phone. i never thought i would see another phone over $300 without edge unless it was a moto. sadly i was wrong

You do realize it has UMTS right ?
Why would a 3G phone need to have a 2.5 G capability ?

Ok, I bought a p900 when it first came out. Soon after I got the sep900 I switched to PPC. Now I want a P990. I am guessing it's not out just yet cause I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know for sure when it hits the streets?
