Again, Sony pushes its own incompatible proprietary technology. They could have used MMC or SD memory sticks but no they had to reinvent the wheel.

That's a typo. It should be USB 2.0 (even SE site saus so). USB 1.0 transfere rate is way below 12 Mbps.

Cause it's not really not so wide spread in North America, especially free.

This device uses a proprietary Sony memory stick technology. Again, Sony is trying to push its own proprietary technology everywhere. No thanks.

no different than the stupid DV RS-MMC that Nokia foisted off on us with the 668x and 6630 series.

Unfortunately, I see myself purchasing this unit even though the qwerty keyboard is still too small for my big fingers. Lots of pros and cons to get it, but hey, what can I do? I need the latest and greatest. If by chance we can find out of version of BBC it has, that would be great!!
