If you're close to the fringe area of the network you could probably use a 3 - 5db gain external antenna attached to your aircard and still be able to connect; however you would lose some portability.

What model Sierra card do you have and how did you get it?

I don't have the 860 only the 775. I hope they offer a deal. I just got the 775 for work. I can't connect @ my clients office. I just got the card last week.

Maybe I'll keep it for the 30 then we'll be off for the Thanksgiving break and I'll send it back and then hop on the 860 when it comes out in December.

No - we are the red-headed step child that Cingular wants to forget about (heck go to NBO and you see Cingular products and "Other Wireless" products. For my modem card - I don't care whether they make me move from blue to orange, so long as my new card can work on EDGE and UMTS, so I don't need my old card any longer. The price is the same, the service should be the same; I just want faster access at my client.

As for my two voice lines, it's really simple. My blue plan costs a lot less than a comparable orange plan, and until the costs get to be the same, I'm not changing plans.

Ha! That wouldn't surprise me at all. I don't understand how UMTS is going to be "launched" if handsets are not going to be released simultaneously. Maybe someone can fill me in?

I would have no problem with a forced rollover today Long as I can still roam comfortably onto the superior Blue network in this area (i.e. they fully integrate it to a high degree of seamlessness, as requested!).

Minutes, plans, pricing ... close enough for MY limited needs (although I can see how heavy users, and folks on grandfathered plans, etc. may be a tad miffed!)

What can they do? Fire him from a one day a week job or give him a raise for releasing updated information just before accounting releases numbers.

And there is the thought of suing, yea thats smart. When a defense attorney asked what were you thinking, Cingular could answer BA DE Ba DE.

In the age of corporate scandals and Sarbanes-Oxley Act --- where senior executives are personally liable and can go to jail --- if they want to sue, they will.

If you are a one-day-a-week part-timer, you probably can't afford a decent defence attorney anyway.
