What happens to SMS when account suspended

What happens to SMS when an account is suspended for a few days? Is it stored in the system or bounced back?!

I mean when you report a lost or stolen phone. Do they get stored in the system? How long does T-mo store sms? 3 days? My sidekick II was stolen so I called into have it suspended but I'm expecting quite a few sms.

I'm pretty sure that sms are valid for 72 hours before they don't go through.

I think that applies more to when your phone is turned off. I don't know if that applies to when your account is suspended. I'm pretty sure T-Mobile has the ability to reject the message immediately. I'm not sure what would happen though.
