Thumbs up My experience with the qtek 9100

I must say, before anything, that i use it only a little time, but all i have to say is awesome!
Sedd is very good, but i'm not the best person to talk about speed, because my sendo x was not fast (120mhz arm9 processor, symbian os 6.1).
i'm still a little lost with this device but not nearly as lost as i was when i got the sendo, that i regreted to buy for a week (after it, never looked back).
The outlet charger in the packadge was the uk one, so it didn't fit in Portugal, but i went to fnac and bought a kit for s100 that have an outlet and car charger, so no loss here
Still not installed any app, and i'm at work so i'll do it only later.
About the battery, i can't really say anything yet.
The sendo x was thick so this one is only a little wider.
Great gsm reception and sound quality on call's.
The keyboard is really handy, but for password i use the virtual keyboard because it has letters and numbers, and entering consecutive number in normal keyboard mode isn't very pratical (for each number you have to press 2 keys, the bullet and the number), but for sms is great!
I only wish i could concentrate on the job, but it's so difficult

Ok, i think i'll try to work for a while.

I can solve the number entering problem for you. To lock the numbers to "on" so you don't have to repeatedly hit that bullet key, tap it twice, then you can enter all the numbers and symbols you would like.
Take a look at my new blog: MobileGenius. It is really just a few reviews at this point but I think I cover a few things that some of the reviews I have read do not take time for. Feel free to leave a comment!

    Thanks, great tip!

Edit: one more thing i remembered, the 9100 recognized the 1gb mini sd from sandisk perfectly

One thing I should have mentioned before I went out is to post pictures! Lots of big pictures to make all the people on dial up scream stop! Hehe...ok, maybe just enough to fill the screen.

How does your keyboard slide? Does it get wiggle if you don't push it in open in the centre? Is the slide action smooth?

    Nightwisher, you lucky Portuguese...

Please, after work take some time to write us your impressions regarding: what's in the box (is it as rich as K-JAM's?) and pre-installed?

I'm still at work but i can already say that, yes, the keyboard wiggle a bit, but i think that is not a problem because we can feel when the keyboard is fully open.
About the packadge, as already some other people said, the av is not included (i do not know what's the standard software, as this is my first wm device).
There is 1 cd with the wm and another with gprs monitor. The box is black for those who want to know.
It came with stereo headset (it looks cheap but i didn't tried it yet), a case that i'm using now, and i like it (a bit thick maybe).
A thing i would like to see is when the keyboard is open, some sort of visual information of the mode active (caps on or symbol on), because sometime when typing the password, i forget what is on.

Got any pictures? That would be great to see more pictures of the wizard under that qtek disguise.

Nightwisher, it's time load up some apps and get using it! Keep us posted with your findings. You're one of the lucky few to have a 9100 on here

Got mine this morning aswell. I tried opening the keyboard in a variety of ways & no wiggles whatsoever.
The box design however is really naff. Its a picture of 2 corporate dudes looking all happy & content at work. Or maybe they're looking at some porn on the net
