Adjusted my HS850 from 08-10 (12 was too distorted) now that gives me 8 levels of adjustment on the headset from the normal 4(?).

Assuming you're using a V635. This gain_table comes from the V635 flex included in the 6DR monsterpack which should work fine on your 90R flashed V635. All gains are set to my "recommended" settings. I DO NOT recommend non-V635 users to use this gain_table.bin file.

Interesting. I have always had volume notches from 0-7 on my V551 when paired with my HS850. Use the buttons on the side of the phone and you'll be able to see what the volume setting is on screen, instead of using the +/- buttons on the headset which only give you a beep when you hit the extremes of the volume settings.

I may be wrong with the 4 (I was wrong once before) hence the ? but it seems as if there are more volume adjustments.

Found a few more gain settings. Not too terribly exciting, but here you go:

offset 25 earpiece system tone gain (original setting: 01, recommended setting: 05)
earpiece system tone gain affects system tones coming out of the earpiece when on or attempting a call (call drop tone, voice dial failed tone, call failed tone)

offset 139 earpiece voice name/voice record playback gain (original setting: 01, recommended setting: 05)
earpiece voice name/voice record playback gain affects sounds coming out of the earpiece during playback of voice records, scrolling through phonebook entries with a voice name, and name confirmation during voice dial
