Seriously contemplating it still. My one major roadblock/ hurdle/ can't get over it - is that I have a work iPAD2, a work Macbook Pro and which all syncs with my "tax free writeoffable" iphone. I worry that my android won't sync as well with my other business devices.

I guess people use to say the same thing about blackberry and look where they are at now.... Anyhow - do you have anything enlightening you can share on making the switch? I use exchange and gmail heavily, and need word processing and presentation apps (which I buy once through work and then it's on my phone as well),. twitter, facebook, flipboard. Everything else is relative.
I'm not telling you anything that you can't just google for yourself

Android is past the 450,000 app mark and growing faster than iOS. And you say you use Gmail? That's pretty much what Android is all about. Anything Google is simply awesome and cloud-synced. I've owned 4 Androids and never once ever had to plug them into a computer to back them up or anything. Even pictures sync to the new device. Apple tries to compete with "iCloud" and paid apps, lol. Especially Nexus devices, auto-OTA updates from Google and unlocked out of the box = win.

I haven't used an iPhone for three years and cannot imagine going back to that system, to be perfectly honest. I like customizing, openness, and free music (hehehe). Sure, iOS is "pretty" and stuff, but it's also getting stale and harder to customize, and I think of iPhones/iPads as basically a point-of-sale device to keep giving Apple money all the time with apps lol. If you really want it to feel iOS, use one of the free launchers on Android. And I don't miss the control and proprietary-ness of Apple products one bit.

    Hi there
I'm a Fido customer with a locked iPhone 4 which I bought from a third party. I would like to unlock my phone as I wish to switch providers. Is it possible for me to get the $50 unlock? I tried calling and they checked the IMEI and said that the original owner has to finish their contract before I can unlock it. Is there any way that I can bypass this rule?
    Thanks in advance

If the original owner pays their cancellation fee, but remains a Fido customer, then the phone would be able to be unlocked.

My friend and I are both on Fido contract. However, I want to do TOR of my contract to her and she will cancel her contract. I was wondering if there is any way she can keep her current cell number as CSR told me that she cannot keep her number. Any help is appreciated.

If you transfer, you transfer everything and your friend will be stuck with 2 Fido numbers along with 2 agreements...

Hello, I am looking to sign up on a two year contract without taking a phone phone, I am interested in the $15 dollar plan with the $25 2gb data add on. I just have a few questions. Based on my understanding if I don't buy a subsidized phone, the cancellation fee is 12.50, are there any other fees (such as a data cancellation fee) I would have to pay if I decide to cancel at any point before the contract ends? Also, if I do sign up without getting a subsidized phone, will they still give me a sim for free? Or will I have to buy it?

Whoah, I'm still up there. Please take me off RAC; I no longer work for Fido.
