Alright, just got new tires. Been using it for a less than a month. All the snow&ice i could find, it handled just fine.

    Tire Brand :Bridgestone Blizzak DMZ3
    Tire Size :265/60R 18"
How long you had them :less than a month
How They perform in Snowy Roads: Great
How They perform in Icy Roads : Great
How They perform in Dry Roads : Great, but due to soft compound will wear out faster vs el chepo winter tire.
Would you use them again this Season?:yes
Overall your opinion of this Tire?
Best winter tire ever. It cost small fortune in 18" size($250/each) but can handle snow, ice, rain with no problems.

Nokian- I know it sounds cheezy, but it comes from the same country.

Tire brand: Hankook Winter i-pike W409
    Tire Size: 215/60/16
How long have you had them: Second year

Snowy performance: Excellent (10/10). I have had no problems with them in the snow and they provide excellent traction. I could give it more gas on my 3.5L Altima than I could on an 2.5S altima with all-season tires. Drove out to Colorado and had no need for 4 wheel drive and I could even out accelerate cars with 4WD or AWD from a stop

Icy performance: Great (8/10). They still slide but I feel very confident with them when going over icy sections

Dry performance: Excellent (10/10) They grip well and are very quiet. Even my dad was shocked seeing as how the tread is. There is no humming or whining coming from the tires.

Use them again: Definitely. As soon as this set gets used up, I will purchase another set without even a doubt

Overall opinion: With my OEM tires at the end of their life, I was looking for a good set of winter tires that wouldn't break the bank and found these. Never hearing of the company, I did a bit of research and came to like what I heard. Their tread pattern is close to that of the Nokian Hakkapelitta, if not an almost exact copy. The side wall is a bit soft and since it's bigger than my stock rims, I used 16" steelies during the winter, they aren't as confidence inspiring as my summer tires but that's no surprise. Still, I could drive aggressively in almost any condition with the and never had a hint of worry or fear. If you're looking for a cheap set of winter tires that offer great performance, I would definitely take a look at these. I bought a set of Michelin X-Ice for my aunt and tried it and didn't find them to be as good in all conditions. they were better than all-seasonal but gave up earlier than my Hankook's

    Tire Brand :
    Toyo Observe Garit HT

    Tire Size :
    225/50/16

How long you had them :
    ~3 weeks

How They perform in Snowy Roads :
Very good grip on fresh and compacted snow. Very predictable when it does lose traction.

How They perform in Icy Roads :
Very good grip and initial bite on ice. Again, predictable when traction breaks.

How They perform in Dry Roads :
Higher speed rating as it is still a performance tire. Steering is tight with small increase in lean on hard corners.

Would you use them again this Season?:
    Yes. Using as we speak.

Overall your opinion of this Tire?
Excellent tire overall. Although designated with snowflake symbol, the tread is harder than a passenger winter tire, therefore treadwear looks like it'll last a good 4-5 seasons with regular driving but at the sacrifice at slightly less ice grip. Quieter than my all seasons. Pricey but seems worth the money.

Tire Brand : Gislaved Nordfrost 5
    Tire Size : 225/45R17
How long you had them : 3 winters
How They perform in Snowy Roads : excellent. They grip very well, my tires never spinned and my traction control never went off. that said when it's snowy or icy I drove according to the conditions.

How They perform in Icy Roads : see above
How They perform in Dry Roads : not that great. The tires are too soft, when cornering they feel too squishy. While not that loud they were louder than my summer tires.

Would you use them again this Season?: No longer have the car
Overall your opinion of this Tire?: I have mixed feelings. While good in snow and ice most of the time the roads are cleared plus I'm careful when there's snow and ice so so I don't need my tires to be THAT good in snow and ice. Next snow tire I would buy would have to be better in the dry.

Here's a picture of the tread if anyone is interested. they have around ~20000km of wear.
