I dont have a 950 but from what i saw with the 950s file structure i couldnt find anything in there for the ringtones. The micro sd card is the easiest way to get ringtones on there through the my_sounds folder. hope that helps

I've got no idea on that one...never tried it.
Ok, just got my data cable yesterday. D/led the driver and Bitpim. Went to filesystem and I can see the files on my phone. Tried to add a mp3 for a ringtone just like this says
"From mm/mvg/drm select New File and then choose the file to upload to the phone. So far, everything seems to work. MP3s of any lenght, stereo or mono, VBR etc. MIDIs work to. Just put them in the right directory, which is mm/mvg/drm "
But I'm getting this error. An unexpected exception has occurred.
Please see the help for details on what to do.

Now in settings I has selected "Block writing anything to the phone" Do I need to unselect that? Help a newbie out please.
I would unselect Block Write. Just do everything in default mode. The phone is unsupported, you don't want to select too many options, or else you get errors, like you've just seen.
Thanks. And in the first post it said mp3's of any size and length are ok. Is that still the case? If not what do you use to cut them down to size. Thanks.
Got it to work.![]()

How do you ad pics over Bitpim though?
I'm also still interested in how to cut down mp3's. Kinda pointless to have an entire mp3 on there wasting space. Thanks.
If you look around in the forum there are more specific directions but the gist is that you have to overwrite an existing picture. You could take a pic of nothing and then use the photo you want to upload to overwrite the one you just took. I don't think you even need to reboot the phone to use it.. Rename as needed once it's in the phone.
Cool, thanks.
