Samsung has the ability to make the phones REALLY cool, but I somehow think the service providers are holding them back cause the providers can't keep up with Samsungs Technology, just look @ Asia, their phones are more technologically advanced then some of our Palms

A truly good maker would release firmware updates. Samsung? The S105 is quirky or buggy sometimes. Check all the bug threads. They need to have more user options.

Ok guys, I'll give you my point of view on the V205 as I played with it for about one hour last night. I think the phone is week and I am comparing it to the GD 87. The screen is very sharp and crisp like others have mentioned, maybe slightly more brilliant than the GD 87. It is definitely more brilliant than the S10X. The screen is much smaller than the 87 and the s10X. The 87 is layed out much better with the camera position and the 87 extends open much more than the v205. I think I just got used to the 87 as Samsung really hasn't changed this feature. The rings sound better than the 105 and 87 because it 40 vs. 20, but it comes with no data cable and the data port is not the same as the s105, but like the r225. However the r225 doesn't have any data support so we are sh&t out of luck on cables. I think Samsung does this on purpose to piss us off. To be honest I am sorely disappointed in the v205. I was expecting to get it last night, but backed off and I am going to stay with the GD 87 as I think it combines the most features you would want along with a basically out of the way camera.

Can you post some links to pics & specs of the 87?

    thanks!

such a disappointment with the v205! I was really anticipating this to be THE cell phone to own...but oh well, just gotta keep searching I guess.

So, when will we see a replacement fro the S105? Any word on the v300 coming here? that would be nice!

I was waiting for this phone for the longest of time since i can remember. This phone does suck for the price...but if it was free later on ....eh hem!! On amazon.com i would get it cause it looks neato..but as for its purpose the phone is pretty much useless. The phone doesn't come with data cables or software... You can only send pics to your computer through mms. I think i might as well get another free s105 from amazon.com and sell that to my bro later on and apply it to a new unlocked phone when 2003 comes around. V205 sucks!!!!!!! And for those of you guys defending that phone out there....hmmmmmmm for 450 bucks ....give it up!!! thats to much for a phone that doesnt do sh*t. The cons outweigh the pros!!!

Oh and another thing... i was messing with the my pet game and i wanna know something. When i feed the cat...he goes meow but then a little after that i would hear hissing noises like the noises of recording music from a tape with a tape. I didnt notice this clicking sound until yesterday ...was wondering if the other v205 phones are like that cause mine is. I had the s105 and didnt notice it... it sounded clear to me. Can any of you guys check your s105 or v205 and let me know. Im about to go to the store and check this out.
