    1. Plug your H700 into the charger (with the headset closed)
    2. Hold the function button for 5-7 seconds
    3. Release button and unplug
    4. Pair your headset with your phone
Hope this helps, if not you got a bad headset.

    Didn't help, but thanks

If your's is just a decal, I think you got a fake man.

And any I just got mine from EBAY and OMGWTFBBQ I cannot get this thing to work at all. I've spent the past 45 minutes trying to get it to pair with my Verizon XV 6700. Oh man is this a pain in the ***. The purple light comes on but NEVER stays solid. It stayed solid ONCE and I finally got it to pair and now it doesn't work at all. Just blinks and blinks and blinks. I got it to pickup on a call once and it promptly hung it right up.

It's an A so I guess this is part of the problem. I can't even check to see if there's static cause it never freakin works man

Does everyone's boom open the full 180 degrees when you flip it open. I'd say mine only opens about 160 degrees and then I have to push it the last 20. I wonder if it's a loose connector or something and that's why it never works.

Gonna have to do a BB switcheroo since Moto won't accept ebay invoices.
I having the same problem with mine. It was something that I noticed. And I am having the same exact problem as yours. So the question is, is mine a fake or what. I was completely misled in my eBay auction too. They esaid that they were from the US and then it turns out that they are from China and that is where it was being shipped from. So yea, is it a fake? If so what things should I do with eBay?

    700 thumbs up

Just got a 700 last week and overall, I like and recommend it. My only beef with it is fit. After about an hour, my ear is sore. Which isn't a deal breaker, since my commute is just under an hour.

All said, simple to use, battery life is good (6 hours-ish). Thumbs up, and worth the cost overall.

You might want to try one of those nosepad things they sell for eyeglass wearers, and put it on the headset where it's hurting your ear. Probably can be found in a drug store.

About a week for mine. You could try calling them to see the status. They should have given you an order number.

My H700B is mostly really great. Wind no problem to a point and the thing is loud. I really like it... but the future of these things is in the H5... No external mic.

I love the way you can turn it on & off by folding the boom..

    Fake H700's

I think that many of the ebay H700's and also some of the phone store stocks are knockoffs. Best way to tell is to look for the CE the checkmark and the Motorola branding om the bottom housing where it is hidden by the folding boom and the foldout ear cuff. The first A I had was without question a fake.

Can you post a pic of the Moto Branding OM on the bottom?

My process to RA the "A" version with the "B" version is finally over. I received my "B" last Friday and have used it for about 12 hours now.

    Here is my input:
I agree that the difference between the A & B is night & day, but the only reason is because the A's quality was so poor with CDMA. The quality of the B version is average, and will work well for casual users. I wouldn't recommend it for business use.

The receiving audio is excellent, and the headset is definitely louder than the phone, but the outgoing audio is still not as crisp as is should be. Additionally, the headset is too sensitive and will pick up all surrounding noises (rustling papers, typing, etc) and will amplify the sound. I spend about 6 hours a day on the phone with clients, and the background noise prevents me from using the H700 on all of my calls.

Has anyone compared the H700 to the new Discovery 645? I'm tempted to return this one to Best Buy and find a place that has a good return policy on the 645.

I called them again and they said I had to order it? WTF? Anyway, it should be on it's way in the next couple of days. I hope to have it by Friday.

I thought the point of an RMA was they had all my info and knew they needed to send me a new one....guess not.

H700 "B" Version at Best Buy

For those that were wondering if the H700 "B" version had made it to retail stores. I got one at a Best Buy in North Texas this weekend. I had previously tried Radio Shack and got an "A" version. One thing I noticed, while I know you can't see the version without opening. I did notice something that the package I selected had different then the other 5 they had. On the back by the barcode the label lists the items in the box. The one I got which was the only they had left and was toward the front of the rack had this on the label:

    ASSY, ENT CONCTIV.
    HSET, H700, US
    89013J

The others which I presumed would be "A" versions since they had more of them said this:

    ASSY, ENT
    CONCTIV, HSET, H700, US
    89013J

Notice the "CONCTIV" was on the first line and in the box was a 06089N model SYN1311B headset. I figured the one I got they must of received recently and put in the front of the rack.

I hooked it up to my E815 and it works great. I can't confirm it but maybe this is the way to get a "B" version.
