HS850 ridden with problems????? It works flawlessly and has a nice sound

why not try the jabra headsets? work like a breeze, long battery life, and behind-the-ear design making it inconspicuous. the bt 250, 250v and the 500 are excellent choices, and pair with every single phone i tried them on - Moto,SE, Nokia, HTCs, etc.

Umm, static, can't have the AC turned up on high in the car because the jabra picks up the extra noise?Originally Posted by bartgomes
I've have the H700 and I certainly enjoy it's weight and footprint. I originally bought it for my wife for the V3C. However, it does not have the transmitting distance (~10')that my Jabra BT800 provides (~25'), with static interference. I have tested it for a couple of days with my BB 7100g, volume is adequate, sometimes I have garbled conversation (to the listener, my end sounds fine), I simply adjust the headset and that issue goes away, go figure. I sometimes experience the echo effect, I simply turn the volume down a notch or two and that resolves that issue. A plus, it has mini USB, therefore I can use my BB7100g mini USB cord to charge it. Overall rating 7.5 out 10. I will probably rate it higher if and when I work out the kinks. I wish it had some kind of pad extension for the earpiece (like the 850), I think I will make one. Anyone have any ideas?
I think I going to keep this one and give my wife the BT800 for her V3C. I will certainly miss the vibrate function with the BT 800.
Peace, blessings, and Happy Holidays,

phil,
i use my headset in the car all the time, and i can't agree with you. i drive a ford taurus 2000 model (which can get slightly loud with the aircon going), and in summers here in the middle east the aircon's gotta be at full blast! i have still been able to use it perfectly!
try closing the windows when driving ;-D
way I see it.
850 1st gen
700 2nd gen
arguement?...NONE.
smaller/lighter/more efficient...what's more to debate?

My Wireless LD FAQ., READ IT!!!
The Jawbone I, photo-review
actually, according to moto, HS850 is 4th gen. H700 is 5th gen. LOL. anyways...
I have a HS850 for my MPX220. I am considering switching to a H700. Here are the reasons:
H700 has noice cancellation. HS850 doesnt. It makes a HUGE difference in noisy environments.
I heard that the H700 volume is louder then the HS850
The H700 us smaller and lighter
Disadvantages: The H700 is rated for 6hrs talk time, the H850 is rated for 8hrs.
My biggest concern however, is that the MPX220 and the HS850 use a proprietary moto charger. The H700 (i heard) uses a mini USB charger. Is this true? If so, is there an adapter to convert the proprietary moto charger to mini-usb?
This is also a very important concern for razr users. The razr has mini-usb. The HS850 has a proprietary charger. If u get the H700, u can use your razr charger for the headset also. you cant do this with the HS850. so keep that in mind when u make a purchase!
^ excellent points
Yes you're right, 5/6/7th gen....I say 1st and 2nd...because it tells you just exactly "when" I joined the whole BT revolution
Charger ports is a good point also....saves down on having to carry around different chargers if your phone/headset use different plugs......frankly...I would be hard pressed to believe Motorola would design such a thing. Surely it would have been CHEAPER for the overall to use ONE port??? But meh...there's gotta be a reason behind it.
What I'd like to see is quick-connect on a non-boom design headset![]()
I got a h700 for christmas but i already had one aunt didnt leave it in the package so i could exchange it for something else its brand new never used will sell for $100.00 shipped please pm me thanks jason
I picked up the H700 today and paired it with my BB 7130e. Very light, comfortable, good volume. But man, what static once you move 5 feet from the phone. And it sounds like you're talking through a muffled scarf. Anyone else pair one of these with a 7130e?Originally Posted by stuffedtiger79

My dad lives in Oman and I just sent him a Jabra 250V recently to use with his ipaq 6365 which he had sent to me for fixing. I had tested it along with his 6365 before sending it and it was working fine - now it doesnt and he can't seem to connect the two
To get to the point, I am guessing he is missing something when he tries to pair or connect the devices and the best way for him would be to go to a store that has Jabra and can help him with it.
Can any Mct guys give me names of a couple of Jabra dealerships or stores that stock Jabra - ideally some store that can help him pair the ipaq and jabra.
Appreciated!
hey galtroarc,
i ususally buy my stuff from a place called cleopatra here... know the owner, and i get so sweet deals on all phones and accessories.
btw, i use a jabra 250v with my k-jam, works like a breeze...

cheers!!!

Just wondering, can you use voice commands with the H700 or HS850 headset?
I bought the HS850 and am trying to use with Verizon RAZR V3c. Here's the problem I'm having. I pair it and it works fine. I'll close the boom and after about 5 min, I open the boom and it will not reconnect. I have to turn the bloothtooth back on and seek the headset. Anyone have a fix for this?
