I love my H700, been using it about 2 weeks now, EVERYONE I talk to on it says it sounds better then using my handset.
No problems with it, nice fit, very small and light, and looks way better then the HS850
Interesting - you're the only one I know that claims the H700 sounds good. Are there any special settings on your phone that could somehow enhance clarity?Originally Posted by 0x547765656b
Would you get the H3, or save some money and get the H700?
I initially bought the HS850 at bestbuy for 80.99. I didnt realize that Moto had come out with a whole new line so me being the tech geek returned it thinking the newest technology would reign supreme. Well was I mistaken. I took the HS850 back and got the H700 at Bestbuy for 107$. Good price but the headset is awful!!! I went through 3 different headset exchanges for the H700 (Lots of XMas waiting in line..) There was a lot of static and noise on the first 2 when I got the third one I thought it was going to finally work. Reason being when I would do voice commands on the first 2 there was a lot of static and it wouldnt recognize all commands. On the third one there was no static and it actually sounded great on my side. Unfortunately everyone I called said they thought I was under water and forced me to turn off the head set and talk on the phone. Kind of defeats the 107$ investment. Well since I am still within the first 2 weeks I brought it back and I now have the H500 70.99 at Bestbuy. It is definitely better then the H700 but it is still lacking. It sounds great on my end probably the same as the H700 cant really tell much of a difference between the two on my end. The good thing about the H500 is people will actually talk to me on it. I have heard a few complaints but it is bearable. When all is said and done I am going to return the H500 and get my initial purchase back. The HS850 is by far the best head set of the 3. It is clear on my end and everyone I spoke to didnt even know I was on a head set. That is the ultimate goal!!! Let me tell you that I am very disappointed that the H700 wasnt better. The design is great! It is small and sleek and most of all doesnt make you look like a cyborg. I really hope Moto is able to figure out what they did wrong and get something out there that works like the HS850 and look like the H700. I hope that I save someone the trouble and time that I have wasted....
For the guys who said that certain headsets worked fine, and certain ones worked not so fine, can you post the phone you used for it too if you haven't already done so? I like the look of the H3, and was hoping that if there were problems in the H700, that they would be rectified in the newer H3.
Yes the H700 uses Mini-USBOriginally Posted by stuffedtiger79
someone should've started a poll about 700 vs 850.

I have the RAZR V3c. Actually there were 2 reasons I returned the HS850 in the first place. They were because a newer model was out and because the H700/H500 have the same charger as the razr where as the HS850 uses the old style. I thought that was huge initially but I am starting to change my mind. The HS850 was light years better then the H700 and H500. It is amazing that cost and age do not make a difference in quality between the different head sets. Ie... The H700 100$+ by far the worst of all the headsets Ive tested and HS850 79$ and by far the best.
Good Luck finding a good BT headset... I know I am still trying...
Had to send back the H700, I was experiencing too much static and now I had to go back and use the HS850. I was impressed by the clarity of the 700 when first used, just don't know what happened
Does anyone have a copy of H700 manual in PDF format? Trying to locate one on moto website, but can't find it there...
Man, out of all the BT headsets the only two that I'd want is either the 850 or 700...but with all the negative feedbacks I don't know if I should fork out 100 dollars just to be a white mouse...
I'm just wondering for the people who have problems with the 850 and 700, which phone are you guys using and where do you put it when you're using BT? What if I just leave my phone in the pocket while talking on the BT unlike most of you described leaving the phone for ~10'? Also how's the sound quality comparing 850 and 700? Which is louder and clearer?
Thanks in advance.
