Verizon RAZR V3C - How to silence incoming call, then clear missed call icon

My new RAZR phone giving me a great deal of frustration because it does not seem to do simple functions as my old T720/T730 that has similar interface. On the T720/T730 I can just press the side button and incoming call is SILENCED (phone does not ring or vibe any more), then if I press it again a missed call indicator or new voice mail indicator is cleared.
With RAZR I have not found a way to silence and incoming call, if I am in the meeting the phone keeps on ringing or vibrating and them missed call icon stays there, until I go to Missed Calls and actually delete it. Complete non-sense or just a user does not know error from my side. Please, help.

My V3 silences the incoming call if I press either the up or down volume key. I can then press either key again and clear the screen, or press the key beneath the volume keys to view the missed calls.

Thank you for your tip and I will try the volume keys to silence the call and pressing the smart button does clear let's say "1 Missed Call" on the outside screen, but it does NOT clear that missed call icon (a cell phone with an arrow) unless I delete the missed call.
Again, is this the only way to delete the missed call icon? Thank you for your help.

Blood hell! I have the same missed call indicator that won't go away problem!

Any ideas on how to make it go? Normally, on all past vzw phones, it just disapears when you view the missed call list... This is so frustrating!

Yeah, view your missed calls and it would go away.

Yeah, past tense, i think... it USED to go away. Now it stays. I am using the 03 firmware, genuine VZW... no seam edits.

I figured it out. If you go to the regular ALL CALLS list by pressing send, it just lists missed calls. You must specifically go to the MISSED CALLS list by pressing "enter", right, and enter again to see the missed calls. then the indicator will disapear. Or you can just go to "View missed calls" when it prompts you after you miss the call.

I have a new V3t RAZR from T Mobile and I can't get the Send button to show "ALL CALLS". It will only show "Dialed Calls". How can I get this to change?
