has anyone gotten a straight answer on whether or not it's possible just to get a sim card?

Seems to me the ability to switch the SIM to another phone is an adavantage if your phone gets damaged and you need a replacement. Of Course CDMA is not very big in Europe yet so if you have business over there it simpler having a GSM phone vs getting a world phone.
Frankly I don't care what standard it uses as long as it works. There are benefits to both..

Somebody did say that calling 7-11 CS is the method to get a SIM card only.Originally Posted by baggio4eva

Yea, someone said it, then said another guy said it wasn't possible. Either way i just wanted a definite answer. I guess i'll just have to call in myself and see what they say.

Yea, i could toss it into my i930 and compare it to my MiKE for fun. It's the cheapest way to compare. Plus if i'm ever out of signal on my mike, i can forward it to the gsm number for a limited time. With a 365 day expiry you can't go wrong.Originally Posted by TelecomZombie

Just curious... is your i930 working on MiKE? I am a GSM man, so I don't have much of an idea about iDEN.Originally Posted by baggio4eva

Has anyone tested the long distance in the GTA? For example, can you call a 416 number in Toronto from say Oshawa or Newmarket?

baggio as soon as I heard about this service (and the fact that it can carry over for a full year) I thought to do the exact same thing as you. I'm trading for an i930 soon and like the idea of having a GSM fall-back number![]()
