I have a question for all of you.
I have a PPC 2003 device and I have the LG vx9800. I am looking at this device as the replacement for both but I know nothing about WM5.
Does anyone have any knowledge of the differences between the OS's other than the obvious screen and resolution differences?
All info will be humbly accepted.
Thanks
I found one store in Jersey who will be holding one for me in the AM - they already have them in stock, they just can't sell them tonight.
If anyone knows if there's anything official from VZW saying if you have them sell them tonight... let me know!
If I used the $100 Advanced Data Discount will I need to sign a new 2 year contract or reset my 2 year contract date?

so funny!!!...my local stores say that it should be due out in a couple of months or so!!! They are so retarded. I really want to buy one, go in and ask if they have any, then when they say that it will come out in a couple of months, show them it. If only I had nothing better to do than make them look stupid...
I'm not sure there is anything "official" since the release is tomorrow. However the PR release posted a page back and the www.engadget.com team are reporting they are now for sale.Originally Posted by AlexC
My guess is the stores WILL have them today but are instructed to not sell them. Unless you get a newbie at the store, I doubt they will sell it to you.
My guess is the few people around here that have scored one either work at a store or know someone that hooked them up early.
PS: The palm site: http://www.palm.com/us/ says they will be available tomorrow the 5th.
Check the Palm site out...TONS of new information and pictures. <drool>

No sorry you need to have a calling plan with it of $39.99 or higher to qualify.Originally Posted by Sam K
I have called 7 stores here in the So. Cal, Orange County area, all say they don't have any, to check back tomorrow after their shipments. One dealer wanted to see the press release, I emailed it to him, he had no info!
I can understand one or two stores questioning, but all 7!
Makes ya wonder if it's a hit miss for stores?

As you can see from my previous post I live in the OC as well. My guess is that they haven't received/opened their shipments yet. It appears that most of the people reporting they have them on hold are on the East Coast...therefore 3 hours ahead of us. Just a guess...try calling back in a few hours!Originally Posted by pwrusr
In the meantime check out www.palm.com
Everyone {verizon stores} here seems to know about it - the indirect stores seemed kinda clueless, although, one said i was the 8th person in the last two hours to call about it. Oh well. I'll get mine tomorrow in NJ, i'll just be patient. Then it'll be time to test out the XV6700 for a few days when that gets released publicly, and see which I like better. It's a lot of money to spend if you don't have a NE2 to use, figure I might as well try them both.
Except for the one store I found in NJ, no other Vzw stores in Manhattan have admitted to even having them in stock - they all say they will be here tomorrow...
I live in Riverside county CA and have spoken with 3 stores, 2 of them confirm that they will have them tomorrow. Take a drive out here, it's going to be near 80 and blue skys.Originally Posted by rkdiddy
