    Samsung SCH I830 Launch/Info/Reviews..............................

    Well here you go, for those of you who have been waiting for this device. It is expected to launch on the 10th of January for B2B and the 24th for Retail. This is basically an I730 minus the WIFI capability but with the GSM for International Roaming. Oh boy this is an expensive device. That's all I have to say about that.

    Also No WM5 and will have to wait for it.
    No WiFi which was expected i think.

    Might be suitable for some people.

    This is a conspiracy of epic proportions. As of now there are announced dates for the release of 3 new smartphones for January and no news on the Q. Sorry for the side track . . . let the i830 parade continue.

    Once WM5 is released for the i830 it will be a killer device for those who frequently travel overseas.

    No, it will come with a only one and you'll be able to plug in different adapters to the end of it to fit whatever country you're in. There won't be a full blown adapter with cord for every country. It's most likely just going to come with changeable "heads" for lack of a better term.

    Why no wifi? OH VERIZON aka cashcow doh! What is the main differnce between this and the 730? Is th reception any better? besides more memory anything else?

    The functional difference, in a nutshell, is that the i730 has wifi and the i830 has GSM roaming capabilities for international travel.

    UM the i730 dimensions were Size: 4.49H x 2.28W x 0.97D inches!!!! Wow did they get it to shrink down. This might be like the razor of PDA phones!!

    The only (key) difference is the GSM radio (for non-US, GSM networks only) replaces the wi-fi radio. The memory is the same.

    Will we be able to unlock this phone to use it on overseas providers? Does it even have a SIM card ?
