My T39m keeps on telling me that "Call Ciphering is Off" whenever I make a call, and a little warning triangle pops up in the top row of the display. What does this mean? Is it something that I can turn on or disable, or do I need to see this everytime that I make a call?
Do I want call ciphering to be on, or do I want it to be off? I tried to find an option related to it in the menu but couldn't find anything. I don't have an english manual either, so no luck there.
Any help would be appreciated.
If anyone knows of a place to download the T39 manual in English that would be great as well.

Sounds to me like your voice calls aren't being encrypted. I don't know, but you don't actually configure that on your phone, so maybe there's some incompatibility between VoiceStream's network and your phone (e.g., old firmware version). Someone else can probably field this one better, though...
This is not done in the user setting....
phone just displays what network tell it to.
So...If it came on...it is probably because their network
problem....
Or one of the parameter in the memory map of your phone
is screwed...you cann't really fix that yourself, though..
if it still does it...you probably one to send your phone in
after you talk with Ericsson.
Hope this helps!
