No, W900i supports both Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Memory Stick Duo. The only difference between the 2 is the capacity limit. I believe Memory Stick Duo only supports up to 128MB Max, while PRO Duo can go up to....8GB+

Pro = High capacity, 128mb +

Duo = small stick, may require adapter

Memory sticks may be a mix and match of either of these options.
