    My Jabra JX10 review:

The JX10 has been my main headset now for about 2 weeks.
the Unit i'm using is a retail packaged JX10

    Sound Quality

    Incoming
    No comlaints from me.
I've always liked Jabra product because of its in ear placement. As such it's more then loud enough for my tastes. The Jx10 paired with the W600* produced some incredibly loud results. you would most likely not run the JX10 at full volume to begin with. Couple that with the W600 and you have a headset that is disgustingly loud.

*The W600 is a LOUD phone, and it seems to just amplifly all headsets.. Even the older motorola headsets I have at the shop once paired with the W600 are louder then with other phones.

The quality of the headset is good, it's nice and loud and clear. A little bit on the treble side, but still good.

    outgoing
The headset has that typical BT headset sound.
People that really pay attention know i'm on a headset. When I specifically asked my testers what they heard as i stood by the street they all said "i can hear you, but I can also hear all the cars drive by"

The Jx10 features DSP technology according to the box. It works, but not as well as I'd like to think a DSP headset would work. When i compared it back to back with the Logitech Mobile Freedom headset, both worked about the same. however, I would think a Headset with DSP should work better then one running Logitech's windstop technology.

    Battery Life
The battery life on the JX10 is excellent. The first time I used it i had received the Unit on a Friday, proceeded to use the unit with avereage calls of 30 mins a day. The rest of the day it camped just sitting paired with my phone. By the time I got the battery low warning it was Thursday of the next week. Yes, it went 6 days.

One day I went heavy with the headset organizing a few things. I spend a good 3 hours on the phone that day with the JX10. It didn't complain or beep once.

Jabra themselves claim the JX10 up to 6 hours of talk and 200 hours of standby. I don't see it as a problem to reach these claimed numbers.

    Call handling
Typical Jabra BT headset call handling features are preset on the JX10

Last # redial: press and hold call button. 2 beeps and let go
Rejecting calls: press and hold call button, 2 beeps, caller gone
Call waiting: press and hold call button, 2 beeps, caller switched
hold: press and hold call button, 2 beeps, caller on hold

    Charging
the JX10 comes with it's standard Jabra proprietary home adaptor. You can also charge the JX10 of a PC using Jabra's supplied USB to jabra connector.

However, the JX10 also includes a handsom aluminum like desktop charging stand to charge / showcase your JX10 the stand itself is nicely built.
Getting the JX10 onto that charging stand is a bit of a pain though. It isn't as easy as a one handed drop headset onto stand as it appears. the connector port is nice and tight. It would most likely loosen over time, but I didnt' have it long enough to know

    Size / weight

The JX10 is a small headset.
weighing less then 1/3 of an ounce (10 grams) it's a very lightweight headset in a very small package

the headset itself also has 2 modes of wearability
You can wear it with the support arm that goes behind your ear:

Or you can wear it without the support if your ears are of the type that will hold the headset in on its own.

The actual Earhook itself can come off quite easily if you keep the headset in a pocket though.

    Conclusions
The JX10 is a great little headset. It's size and weight make it one of the most comfortable and easy to carry headsets out there. The Price of the JX10 isn't so small though. At approx $239.99 retail it will be out of reach of most.

If you're looking for a small headset that works well and price itsn't a concern, the JX10 is for you.

    PRO's
    *Small size
    *excellent battery life
    *excellent call volume
    *comfortable 2 way wearability
    *incoming call quality
    *Desktop stand
*USB charging (via proproietary cable included)
    *DSP

    CON's
    *DSP not strong enough
    *Pricing of unit
*Ear hook easily detaches from unit
*In ear design (some don't like in ear)

not that much, but I've never had that issue though.. it all depends on the wearer

I can easily walk around the office. It's still a class 2 (10 meteres) headset though.

    Agreed.
In time prices will drop, however something better and cheaper may come out during that time frame as well.

Yup, prices on the older headsets have really come down, the Logitech was $25 at a couple local stores.

    Thumbs down

Finding the Battery Life Deteoriated seriously over the course of a few months ownership! Would change the Battery in my 6682 everyday before the Jabra would die. Now Jabra battery dies long before the 1st Nokia BL-6C.
Shortly will be time for OTC exchange on this!!
