One strange thing about price is my receipt shows the total as $311 or something but my Credit Card company said they only charged me $290??
Not complaining assuming the phone shows up.

do you have a picture of the belt holder, what are they giving for that?
Mine is like that too. Finally figured out that, although the total order amount includes the $18 upgrade charge, what my credit card is being charged doesn't. Doesn't the upgrade charge go on the monthly bill anyway?Originally Posted by mobilehavoc

Pending items are only a hold on the funds and not really a purchase. This is one way for merchants to get around backorders since it's not an actual charge.
Hey just want to let you guys know that when i bought my Cingular 8125 on Monday 2/6
at 6:00am in the Morning, i was able to get the $20.00 unlimited media plan (i think that isnt a big deal now) but i was also able to get "INSURANCE" FOR 3.99m. At 6am it gave me the option of INSURANCE and i took it. When i went back later, just for fun i tried to buy the phone with INSURANCE and it was taken off! If any of you where able to put INSURANCE on your phone let me know. Thanks (But i hope they dont take the insurance off) :-)
If some one can try out SKYPE and see if the voice is clear and understandable on an open WiFi hotspot. (Also on another VOIP program called STANAPHONE if someone has that also). I would love for this to work when I am outside the US and want to call back to the USA.
I noticed the same thing earlier. When I hit the site in the morning (before the site shut down for a couple hours), I saw the phone for $225 with $31.99/month voice AND it offered me insurance for I think $3.99. When I hit the site now, phone is more, plan is more, and NO insurance offered. I guess I should have ordered yesterday morning before the site imploded.Originally Posted by tonyrojas2007
I can't see how anyone would want this case. Doesn't it completely prevent you from opening the keyboard? Of course you could take it off everytime you want to open it but c'mon - what a pain that would be.Originally Posted by autigers20
I wonder if a careful application of a razor blade would allow the keyboard to slide out?
well the keyboard is indeed nice though. i'm still within 30 days on my 2125. what to do?

posting on the 8125 right now....not bad. PIE still needs improvement but what can you expect I guess.
Does this device have MS Voice Command? In doing a mock run through it listed voice dialing as an option... i.e. call "this person" or call "555-555-1212". As I understand it Voice Command also has other voice command features... can anyone expand on this?
Also do you absolutely have to get any plan options in addition to a voice plan with this phone? I do not see any need for it since I envision I can WiFi my e-mail since there are many hotels and coffee shops, etc. that I can utilize.
i will (hope) be in the same boat when my 8125 gets here. so far, the 2125 has not been that reliable when in phone mode and email or sms is pushing in. i hope the 8125 will multi-process these phunctions with less lag/crash issues.Originally Posted by tripy
as for form-factor, i wish the keys weren't so squished on the 2125. i thought the smt5600 was cleaner looking but the qvga and spwm5 is sweet on a candybar. if the "phonepad" feature on the 8125 is workable for me when device is in dash-mount, that might sway me to return the 2125. i need to be able to quick respond to sms and emails while in commute.
any thoughts on this ramble?
