And if you do lose them because of some glitch or whatever, you can buy them again and call 611 and have them remove the charges. Verizon isn't that evil.

    Eg..

When you add a new websession on the old firmware, they appear to get deleted every time you restart the phone including the VZW mobile web session. As a result, obviously mobile web (the free one) doesnt work, and pix messagging doesnt work until you set up a fake server..even though there is no setting attached to this server.

Believe me, setting up a fake server was the only way to get it to work...even VZW reps didnt know why my phone wasn't working and i was on the phone with them for like 2+hours and in the store. SO i added a websession in without any info, just a name, and pix messaging worked again.

Anyone know if flashing will install the original vzw websessions again?
and more importantly, will it stay there and not delete every time i restart if i add another?
I've never heard of this problem. My WebSessions have never been deleted when the phone reboots, or any other time!
Sounds like your E815 has something wrong with it. Verizon wouldn't give you a new phone? Yours seems to be broke.

If you want to try and fix it yourself, try using a WebSession created by CuriousGeorges websession tool:

I have no idea - I have very limited experience with PST 7.2.3.

I'd try installing it on a different pc - one that has never had PST or a Motorola phone installed before.

    Send Later Finally Works

I've never had a Verizon phone where Send Later for text messages worked. After the flash, the E815 now works. Either there was a recent change to the network, or this issue has been fixed at the handset level. This is huge for me so I can't send reminders to myself. I don't notice the vibrate being stronger. Caller ID PICs on call waiting now work. For some reason my computer couldn't get the E815 drivers to install properly to work with PST 7.2.3. Very odd, since it worked before. I had to install RSD lite and then use p2kseem. What a pain it was to figure that out since I'm a mac person and not windows. When I ride the subway it still seeems to seek with EV-DO active instead of going into powersave mode like it does in 1X when there is no signal. This may be important for people who live in EV-DO fringe areas. I hope that my battery life doesn't get hosed like it did when I flashed my v710. My fingers are crossed.

    mp3 with new e815 flash

Has anyone tested to see if you can still send mp3s to your phone from TF by sending them in a pix message to a fake number then saving them from the message in the outbox? My dad got a vzw phone recently and he claims it is disabled. Are they 'fixing' this 'feature' with new firmwares?

It still works with the 01.1E.00 E815 firmware, but I doubt he has that.
He probably has the original 01.17.03, and it works on that too of course.

Anyone get this update from the verizon store yet? I'll call them later if i can and do it through them..strong vibrate would be nice as long as it doesnt become a loud vibrate like some lg's and old motorola's {v120's} because the point of vibrate is not to make a sound...and i like how its mostly silent now.

Thats my major gripe with motorla, silent/vibrate doesnt actually turn all sounds off....thats whats great about the vzw UI, it physically wont let you make noise when its in silent/vibe mode. If you set your ringer to a ringtone in vibrate, it will still ring! HOw stupid is that?

    What number are you dialing?
#777 doesn't work at all, right?

I have Packet Only selected in the Data Connection menu
I don't think the Data Rate has any affect on anything but a usb connection between the phone and a pc.
