I can't use #777 as the dial up number, no matter what I use as a username/password - I've even tried changing my username and password to qnc/qnc in the Security > Data Connections > 1xrtt menu. I also tried setting it to QNC Only in the Data Connections menu.

I don't have a dial-up number to try. But if someone wants to PM me a number and username/password, I'd be more than happy to try it.

I'm just glad I can finally use DUN, my V710 and Axim now - . someone found a work-around for that 2 days ago.

    trouble flashing

Hi, I've been trying to flash my e815 for the last couple hours. Keep getting an error. I have PST 7.2.3 installed and patched, all drivers successfully loaded, and can run flash/test commands which connects to the phone. When I load the flash file, select my device, and click 'flash', it gets through the first step, but then always errors out on the second step. I tried uninstalling and reinstalled PST and drivers, still same problems. Also tried starting the phone up in bootloader mode, didn't help. Here are the errors:

Error sending RAM download for bootloader. Error 0xE0030008
    while sending address 0x102000.

    And then:

Error Powering Down Subscriber Unit. Error 0xE0030008

Any ideas? Once the flash fails, I unplug the phone and it's stuck in a blue screen with the moto logo and it says 'downloading ramloader' at the bottom. I have to remove the battery then put it back in, then the phone starts back up and I still have the old software on there.

Never had any problems with PST before...

    Stuck!

Flashed the phone last night. Once I got the flash program to find the phone everything went like clockwork. So far it has not reset during a text. The vibrate is much stronger. Also have iTAP in mobile web. Not exactly the same as when sending a text but its better then triple tap. As far as the no DUN, I found this link for 1X DUN for Razrs. Figured that it might work and so I tried.

If you can read this it means it worked.

It is 1X but it works.
Thanks to RWB for figuring this out on the Razr.
    ##DIALUP didnt do anything.
Also havent tried through MPT or BT from my ipaq.

Best of both worlds. New firmware and DUN

    Nice!
So, by entering Test Mode and changing these two settings to force 1xrtt mode lets you use DUN on 1xrtt?
    7. Scroll down to "HDR Pref:" and select "CDMA" with the right soft key
    8. Scroll down to "HDR Hybr:" and select "off" with the right soft key

    ... is that correct?
I hadn't tried that - probably because I don't need DUN. But it'd be nice to have if I'm without my V710 for some reason!

The phone settings changed and some settings in the pc as well. I'm still trying to get the new seems on the phone so I dont know about the bluetooth. I am going to try and change some settings back to before and see if really all it is is the phone settings or if the PC also has to be changed. I have a bad habit of changing everything then not knowing what exactly I did to get stuff to work

EDIT: I tried through MPT and at first it didn't connect so it went to the fallback connection. Now I am connected and posting from it

There wasn't really any reason to expect that this Verizon flash would reenable OPP.
What has been postulated is that if a Bell Mobility e815 flash is released then we may be able to figure out how to use that firmware, which has a full BT stack, on VZW's network. This is similar to what is being done right now with the Alltel V3c firmware on that phone.
A further, more remote possibility is that we may be able to find out how they disabled the BT profiles and reenable them directly. This is a far greater challenge and not very likely, IMHO.

can we still use the same exact files that have been posted on the forums as already finished seems for the ORIGINAL flash, and just reupload those to the phone after flashing to the new firmware, or is the entire coding of the new seems and what not different or anything different at all that i would require a new entire seem 2742 or whatever it is?

if this is the case, could someone post a "finished" and seemed seem post new flash?

I'm still using this exact seem - I know it is good, so I've used it anytime I've done something with my E815 (like flash or exchange phones or test something).
Mark V has a link to it on his Seem Edit page - here's the link:
    http://www.v710.org/mark/Files/2742_seem_by_Humpa.zip

I'm also still using my old Websession file - it is a pain to enter in all my websessions, so I have a websession file that I saved a while back - and I use that for my V710 and E815.

And I'm still using the old mma_ucp and mma_dcp menu files from a V710 with 1.30.8f, so I have the WebSession and Browser menus under the Mobile Web menu (I like to have a Shortcut to WebSessions).
Here is a thread about that, if you don't know what I'm talking about:
    http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...49#post6034649

On a Side Note: There is still no OPP on the E815 with this new firmware. I never mentioned that before, because like kbman said, it was rather certain that there was no chance that it would be included.
